  • My Big bro dont like pearl jam and always says that eddie vedder sounds like a goat but this shows us how this man is. The most powerful voice ever :)

  • I like the accoustic version better.

  • Great fucking song in fact my fav PJ song

  • great song.eddide vedder is the ONLY artist that i have over 25 songs on my computer of lol and then comes bruce springsteen........ and then ozzy osbourne i left out nickelback bc theyre music gets boring.

  • love this song. kind of takes you back to the older pearl jam tunes.

  • Yeh dave A. was such an incredible drummer. But i think for pearl jam to survive as a band long term, eddie knew that they had to find someone they all actually liked as a person that was also a suitable drummer. Camerons really good also but it's hard to argue with how unique dave a's drumming was.

  • Effing superb! Words cannot express how much I adore this song!

  • Well, this is Pearl Jam, but.! the great true is, that the song is a cover from Tom Waits...dudes.... :)

  • @Aldtair55 Man, it's not even the same lyrics or the same chords progression. I understand that the first chord struck in the Tom Waits song make you think both songs are related but the truth is that Pearl Jam's Hold on was recorded 9 years before. It's an outtake from their 1991 album Ten. Tom Waits released a song called Hold On in 1999 (Mule Variations)

  • @blackholedays Whoa.! Thx a lot i wass a little confused.! :)

  • @Aldtair55 You're welcome, man! ;)

  • When I was younger, this song came on accidently when I was on ecstacy, and I instantly loved it. It sounded heavenly and definetly deep.

  • amazing this is Pearl Jam!

  • Dave Krusen never gets any love for his drumming and he drummed on this tune from Ten.

  • @MrGossardX yeah,. i think they totally forgot that it was him who was on the album and not dave a,.

  • @Nayayotsu Lots of people do it is no problem. Both Krusen and Abbruzzese are both phenomenal drummers, but Abbruzzese seems to be a bit louder. I mean when I first listened to "Cready Stomp" I knew that Dave A. was drumming because of how loud I thought it was relative to the rest of the music. This is neither good nor bad it just well, is how he does it.

  • @MrGossardX man, Dave Abbruzzese is amazing .... most jazz/funk drummer for pearl jam! It was rockin´out with him, I don´t know how he does it but it have had sooo huge energy that no other drummer ´ve had in that band ... and I think he should be seen more at all jazz clinics beside such drummers as gary novak and dave weckl, he´s a perfect ... i can´t descript it , simply amazing

  • @mileswarm Dave should still be in this band. The amount of energy and heart he put into recording songs and performing live should have earned him a lifetime pass to the PJ drum kit.

  • @mileswarm don't sell Jeff short with his chewy bass line at 1:40 DAMN this is just such a tasty groove. LOVE IT

  • @mileswarm Sorry, but Dave Krusen is playing this song, not Abbruzzese...

  • @Buenohumberto I know it - 1990 or 91 , but Abbruzzese played all those songs after him .. with better sound .. this is typical Krusen - with drum sound of Ten and with good but not so much aggressive and loud drum stuffs like Dave

  • Thanks for the video. This has always been one of my favourite songs.

    Cheers
