  • hows that defense. greg robinson is a genius. how bout that dominant defensive line. robinson might have 700 total yards and well still lose. what a disgrace this team is

  • Finally, RichRods offense is coming to fruition. Thanks to Denard

  • oh yeah this years defense is so fun to watch. maybe i was right huh. or maybe you guys are still ignorent enough to think this is a good big ten defense. i love it when im right

  • 1:54 he can even block line men

  • All I have to say is if Michigan's team was a little better he would have even better stats and we would be killing every team. Shoelace 4 Heisman???

  • @noobie21336 their offense is legit, defense shaky

  • At 1:28 on that 97 yard TD pass, Denard throws the ball on a rope 45 yards downfield. A perfect strike. Then at 3:10 he shows what his real danger is. He gives himself a free lane, then he fakes an inside run only to leave the linebacker embarrassed as Denard cuts outside. He makes it look easy.

Does MI have a decent defense?

  • @lungcancercure average at best but hes a player

  • @You0nlyLiveonce lol best player in college now

  • Wow that Robinson guy is one helluva an exciting player. I know nothing about MI football, and have always been more of a Buckeye fan since I lived in Columbus when I was 12. But jeez, Robinson is so fast and so elusive. Plus he can throw the football. I first learned about him only yesterday, after he won player of the week.

It's neat to see how he can get to the side line so quickly to have an open look at the field to pass.

I'll be following MI football this year.

  • im not a michigan fan but i think rich rod wanted robinson to be the starter all along he just wanted him to develop his passing game and he would blow away forcier and yeah forcier would be a force in the pacific 10 now 12

  • I'm so glad our offense is recovering the way it is. I just hope our defense can improve this season.... And the kickers.

  • denard has a cannon

  • Comment removed

  • i just hope they dont do that bullshit swapping QBs every couple downs like they did last year, you knew if robinson was in he was running it. it was stupid, you need ONE strong QB to make the offense solid.

  • @tingaling14 i agree 100% with you, i think they need to stick with One guy and let the chemistry and momentum build with that guy. When your constantly switching quarter backs i really think it hinder's an offense.

  • @tingaling14 Yes. As llong as he does not get hurt stick with him. If Denard plays like that all year they are going to be difficult to beat. It will be fun to watch him go up against the Iowa and OSU defenses. I have to admit I am really excited now

  • i gotta feeling we are going to be hearing robinson to roundtree for the touchdown alot this year

  • dude did denard spend the entire fuckin offseason with tom brady???? WTF!!! he looks like a completely different qb as far as throwing.

  • @111voodoo ya i know now hes commited lol hes all in for michigan

  • @johncenarocks21 i never doubted his commitment, but an accurate arm you can't really can't fix, you either have it or you don't. I thought after watching him last season i was really disappointed to see him throw the way he did. But!!!! i guess maybe because he didn't play that much he couldn't really get in a groove and show what hes really got. Im happy to see that, Honestly i like all 3 Qb's but if denard starts and plays as well as hes showing here, I say 10 win and we beat OSU.

  • @111voodoo could not agree more

  • @111voodoo "you either have it or you don't."

No... you can definitely train people to throw accurate balls. You don't know what you're talking about.

How Denard plays, assuming he starts, is not the primary factor in us winning as much as you think it will be. The defense has to step up. As you can see here, the defensive line had ZERO penetration on pass rushing. It was the second team defense so I hope this will be significantly improved with Martin, Banks, and Van Burgen.

  • @collins1188 He won't start. He'll get snaps like last year, but Forcier is a much better passer and will be the man to beat this year, unless he sucks it up.

We'll need to pass with D-Rob more, because teams know that as soon as he comes in, more than likely we're running. If he can makes throws like that one to Roundtree, we'll put doubt in their minds.

  • @ARobb5 forcier not that much of a better passer if any than drob hes improved so much at reading options an not just taking off running an as he seen today drob got the start an did amazing job an when he did get the wind knocked out him the gardner kid steped in forcier is the 3rd qb on the depth chart so i see forcier annouce his transper soon cause he aint going to see time hell end up like today on the bench with his head down

  • @thrower14310 "forcier not that much of a better passer if any than drob hes improved so much at reading options an not just aking off running"

Yah see... the trick is to be able to say that with confidence BEFORE the UConn game... based on empirical evidence from spring ball and summer camps.

"I see forcier announce his transper soon"

He wont transfer. His dad wont let him transfer. His dad said, and I quote, "150% positive he wont transfer" after the UConn game.

  • @ARobb5 "He won't start. He'll get snaps like last year, but Forcier is a much better paser and will be the man to beat this year, unless he sucks it up."

How's that humble pie tasting? Does it taste like fail? Because you're an idiot. Everything I said came to fruition... EVERYTHING!!! Why am I smarter than you? Because I am A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!!! Start taking notes bitch.

  • @collins1188 dude calm down u sound like like a jerk, everybody kow humble pie taste like ass. but u shouldnt brag cause u never know when ur piece is coming around

  • @detroitman21 "dude calm down u sound like a jerk"

I sound like someone who was being ridiculed for his opinion only to have it be proven true.

"u shouldnt brag cause u never know when ur piece is coming around."

Yes you do... if you are already humble you never have to eat your words. Don't make baseless claims unsupported by empirical evidence and you wont ever have to experience the shame of being wrong. Basically, don't be an idiot.

  • @collins1188 what happens if denard still doesnt pan outafter only doing well i 1 game same as tate then what.

  • @detroitman21 It means something unlikely happened.... and that makes me still correct. I never said Denard was going to be great. I never said Denard was going to be good. I simply said that Tate Forcier did not have a lock on the starting position at QB...

Which means I win no matter what. The point here is, say only what you know to be true and believe what is likely to be true based on reason and logic. Be open minded and ALWAYS be skeptical of popular opinion.

  • @collins1188 ooo i can agree with that

  • @111voodoo well it is second team D but have u been reading the news espn says its and i quote "the best improvement they have ever seen from raw talent like his"

  • offense is too good even last year avg. 30 points a game, lost a couple weapons but gained maturity. offense isnt the problem. we got NO defense no way you should avg 30 points a game and be 5-7 just bullshit. But yea Denard is going to be the starter and Michigan probably has the fastest starting offense in the nation.

  • I think denard will start, hes too fast to be sitting on the bench

  • Tate should still be the starter. Nice throw Denard made from the endzone though. That looked a lot better than last year. The INT in the Iowa game sucked, because we were driving and only needed a FG to tie. One thing is for certain: no shortage of talent for UM at the QB position. Rich Rod needs to pick one of them and stick with them. Personally, I think it would be foolish to start Denard, because if it doesn't work out Tate is pissed he didn't start and Denard is traumatized by poor play

  • @kinkeezie Never Mind...Denard should be the starter. I stand corrected. 197 yards rushing and 19/22 passing will shut me up real quickly. You can't really play any better than that. Forcier is the best backup QB in the country

  • @kinkeezie lol good call

  • Pissclam shut up lol the d was unwatchable because we had 3 defensive coordinators in 2yrs players do have to learn my friend

  • since i am a dumbass i guess i shouldnt respond. the last 2 years michigans defense has been pretty much unwatcheable. we lost brandon graham who was by far our best player.so why you think our d line is so great is really baffling to me. but i guess only a dumbass would think losing your best d lineman is gonna make our d line so great.but i agree with you about robinson.hes gonna be 5 times better this year.

  • Number 16 will be taking snaps as the starter something also tell me our name gon ring bells this year and defense

  • Oh and when you have a quarterback runnin a 6.81 60-meter dash, who can also throw good enough to be at the very LEAST 60% completion percentage. Thats pretty fuckin dangerous. Go get'em DROB!

    Go Blue!

  • @goblue918 Robinson looks like he could be a game changer on any given play, or many given plays.

  • And as for the scrimmage today. The defense struggled. But its a scrimmage, there were some starters out, and do you really expect many defenses to stop our offense? I mean i dont think we can flat out say our defense will be horrible just cause they couldnt stop our offense today. They wont be the greatest, but all they honestly really need to be is just average. Our offense this year is goin to show the real RR spread offense we've all been waiting for!

    Go Blue!

  • OFFENSE : 2 MANY WEAPONS NOT TO SCORE IN THE 23-33'S DEFENSE : DLINE GETS PRESSURE ALL DAY THEY CAN HELP OFFENSE OUT ALOT

  • Denard is the future. We're gonna need him to lead us an extremely explosive offense. Especially since our defense is goin to get shit on without troy!

    Go Blue!

  • @goblue918 ur right devin gardner is the future and people who think forcier is are morons the kids good dont get me wrong and hed be great in some pac 10 school but what hes good at doesnt fill our offensive needs we need a kid with speed back there and athletic ability forcier has accuracy beyond what dg and robinson have but how much accuracy do u really need on 7 yards outs while your rollin and u have the option to take it or make a short pass ??

  • @TheGloveMI yea. Forcier is good, but all i hear and see for myself on highlights on mgoblue and rivals.com is Denard Denard Denard. He has really stepped his game up. His accuracy on passing is night and day compared to last year. Denard is the man!

    Go Blue!

  • Respond to this video... sorry denard is the future lol my badd im tellin all u guys denard is gonna go crazy this year big t en breakout player of the year hes gonna cause teams so much problems

  • I gotta say that he looks alot better than he did last year. Passes look alot more accurate.

  • @irishman05050505 who lost last year?

  • Lol can he play corner? You scUMbags might need him to.

  • Its Michigans first team offense against the second team defense

  • Anyone else find it ironic that it takes a Scarlet and White jersey to make a QB perform in the big house...

  • this will be the worst defense the big ten has seen in a long time.how can you be a small defense and still be so slow.number 99 and 95 wont make ten tackles between them.

  • @pissclam1 lol michigan has one of the better d lines in the big ten dumbass

  • As a die hard Michigan fan. I have mixed emotions about the upcoming season. I think our offense is pretty good and can move the ball and put up points but my concern is defense. With no real stars and the one solid recruit we had demar Dorsey playing for Louisville I'm concerned that as much points as we will score the opponent will score more. Saying that I do like the way denard has progress in the system and forcier has looked good as well. Let's hope it translate to a bowl win. Go blue

  • @BigMike16 one solid recruit?? cullen christian was a top 10 corner ranked 99th nationally opposed to dorsey at 162

  • Comment removed

  • @BigMike16 our defense will be fine our d line is gonna be real good and i think the lbs will get it its pretty much there 4th and 5 th years in college there mature and greg robinson is coaching them this year and as far as the secondary goes i know all of us are scared but i think with these young guys there gonna get thrown in there and fight hard and be good because they all know they have a oppurtunity to play right away and contribute

  • He looks good

  • And i honestly don't give a damn if he was goin against the 2nd team defense. 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team. None of them woulda stopped Denard. Hes too fast and shifty, and now, he can throw. When the florida gators see how valuable Robinson is, theyre gonna be kickin themselves. I remember in 2008 when we were recruitin Robinson, if florida just woulda pushed for him, they woulda got him, instead, he comes here, and now, we have a lethal weapon that couldn't make this season any more exciting!

  • Denard has developed so much in the off season, he's looking like he could be the real deal. He's just as good of a passing threat (he certainly played better in the spring game) and he's twice as fast. Denard seems like the future of Michigan football.

  • I can hardly wait go blue

  • ok so hes fast.

  • i dont know which QB to root for i like all of them. i have a feeling denard will win but im not sure

  • Wow, he looks like he knows whats he is doing out there. Never really saw him pass much last year, but he does have a very strong are. Was having trouble following the ball after he released it.

  • I could see Tate starting only if Denard doesn't do good in fall practice. If Denard is turning into just as good of a pass threat, is faster, and has a stronger arm I don't think they would have another choice unless he starts making stupid decisions. On another note, Gardner is going to be a beast, there's just no way around it.

  • read/triple option is gonna be so lethal. vincent smith is gonna be amazing, and most people don't even really know that yet. also, dee hart please commit and complete the triple option for next year, then we could just run that play every play and still win

  • so many winged helmets, such a beautiful site.

  • Only one ball hits the ground and that is because Roundtree dropped it. If RR wants to keep his job. It has to be Denard. Tate is good but this offense has Denard written all over it.

  • @willarm1 I agree. Denard just looks like "the guy". And i just dont see tate, he even got called out by woolfolk for bad work ethic. Ever since he gpt hurt against emu, hes gone downhill. And denard just keeps on improving. And his leadership is well respected around the team. Only thing i worry about is ur defense this year. We have to keep the other team from scoring every 2 fuckin drives. Offensively, we're set. Defensivey, i worry.

    Go Blue!

  • @goblue918 our defense*

  • Go Blue!

  • Okay. Tate will be starting this year, but expect more of Denard then we saw last year. Now my big question is who the heck is starting tailback?

  • @XxShwangBangxX Fitz @ 1:03 might answer that question. Shaw and Cox will do fine against the non-conference if Smith isn't 100 %..but Toussaint could definitely make a push. He seems hesitant in this video but he looks tough enough to run through traffic and quick enough to slip tackles and make plays. He got alot of 1st team reps so he may very well be the guy.

  • @welchce I was thinking Toussaint as well. But since he broke his collar bun he seems to be slower and more decisive. It will be Smith, Cox or Toussaint. I don't see Shaw being in the race for starter though, he just hasn't done enough.

  • 5-7 here we come..

  • @jaegerbomb55 Yeah I agree..5-7 at best...for Sparty

  • @welchce

I'd like to see sparty about 3-9..I just don't see UM much better.

  • @jaegerbomb55 sry man thought maybe u were an MSU fan. I think UM will win 7-8 games..but we'll have to wait and see

  • Well im pumped for this season, its Maize and Blue Season this fall

  • i expect big things from roy roundtree and denard robinson this year

  • i hate michgian i really do but come on rich rod this kid is the 2nd comeing of pat white just let him play...

  • @bigtan59 why in the world are you putting a comment about a team that you dont like crazy

  • @ronnytravisbarker22 becasue i played denard robinson in high school for 2 years and his famliy lives in the same area as me everyone knows about him... like i said before i HATE michgian but denard is a hometown hero thts why..

  • Like night and day compared to 2009 Denard Robinson. Not just with his arm, but making fakes in the read-option. He looks better doing it than any other QB we have had under RichRod so far. That fake he makes at :51 is awesome. Both the LB and the DE bite on it. Roundtree could have scored a TD if T. Robinson hadn't missed his block.

  • What a dick! At 1:54 he goes and tries to put a crack back block on a guy. C'mon, he can't hit Denard back. I would have leveled him and acted like I didn't see him.

  • @jdmusic07

Or maybe Denard just forgot for a second that he wasn't live, after all he was live all spring prior to this game. Sometimes instinct takes over like when someone on defense hit Tate Forcier on a keeper...

  • He should start vs. Connecticut

  • -1:53-1:56 Robinson went out there and blocked a d lineman or some aha! It was a nice little hit haha

  • Reports say the Defense have recently been practicing together on their own time, bonding and wearing tshirts saying 3 and out baby.

  • @foshizzlesteve03

That's the best news I've heard all week.

  • Comment removed

  • @foshizzlesteve03 Alright.,extra practice time!!! Make sure they burn the records, don't want the NCAA to find out about this!

  • @driveonparkways As long as they are doing it on their own freetime, off the campus, and the coaches are nowhere near the area, I do not think the NCAA can do anything about it

  • U of M blows, with all the extra practice time they have had because they cheat, I'm surprised they suck as bad as they do.

    GO GREEN!!!

  • @hook1425 lol with all the extra practice time ????? yet again another dumb ass who knows nothing about what went on lol u know that there extra time was stretching right ?? lol fucking moron and it was 20 mins extra

  • @TheGloveMI

It really doesnt matter if it was stretching or play calling you were cheating learn the rules u dumb fuck before u respond to a post typical ass clown michigan fan Fuck ScUM

  • @hook1425

Oh yes we are all so impressed with your awesome program and it's 6-7 record. Mark Dantonio sucks, MSU sucks and y'all are nothing but thugs and criminals. Jesus half your team is guilt of assault and battery.

    1) You have inferior acedemics to us.

    2) You have inferior athletics.

    3) You're coach and football program are inferior

    4) Soon you will be exposed as inferior on the field, good luck getting destroyed in Ann Arbor this fall.

  • there was no pressure in his face, or on the recievers for that matter. Ohio State, or Penn State will not sit back and allow them to just throw and run the ball with no resistance

  • @scoobyndbrown1

Maybe this year..but Denard is legit. Reminds me of a young Troy Smith. Denard has better breakaway speed though!

  • He needs to show on game day that he can do what he did in the spring game, but shit, its still been delightful to see the progression he has made as a passer this offseason. Robinson wasn't doing any of this in summer camp last year

    Go Blue!

  • The biggest issue isn't really Denard's improvement during the off season, his throws are definitely better and he's seems to have pretty good control of the offense. The big thing for me is Tate's lack of improvement. Considering that Tate got most of the snaps last year, I would have expected him to be much further along in his development as a starting QB. He pretty much looks the same as he did for most of last season. Disappointing. Hopefully Denard can be the starter!

    Go BLUE!

  • @sbux101

For Tate to look the same here as he did last year, he had to improve. He's behind the second string O-line with noobs as receivers going against the 1st team defense. Constant pressure and receivers who have difficulty getting open makes a QB's job pretty tough. When you take that into consideration, the fact that Tate looked the same as last year is pretty comforting.

  • @sbux101 tate forcier is a bitch just like all the forcier family if he doesnt get it his way he cries just like last year when d rob was gettin majority of the snaps he cried and transfer rumors started d robs the guy PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheGloveMI

I agree with most of what you said, but Forcier is far from a bitch. Those "transfer rumors" had little to do with Forcier and everything to do with the media...you know how they like to invent things (NCAA violations, cough cough). Forcier is a gamer with major intangibles...or do you not remember the Indiana and Notre Dame games last year? Or pushing the MSU game into overtime? Or having a passer rating of 150 at Wisco?

  • @TheGloveMI

I'll believe the Denard hype when September rolls around. I was at the spring game and I'm pleased, but take that with a few grains of salt.

  • What's not to like? Kid made up his mind faster then Forcier did in the spring game, with where he wanted to go with the ball. Showed better arm strength (ball was on a line on that throw from the endzone). Showed great accuracy and is the fastest player I have ever seen at the QB position. Start him, be glad he is starting as a Michigan fan. Now the defense? That is what I'm worried about. GO BLUE!

  • @fizban1977

    Three things

    1) SPRING GAME

    2) Second string defense

    3) Rich Rod knows more about football than everyone on this board combined.

If he's good enough to start, start him. But let's see a game first.

  • Jesus, Emilien is slow.

  • @RequiemForABuckeye

I know right.. Cam Gordon is so much betterIMO. I'm not sure what the deal is with Emilien. Maybe his knee is permanently messed up.

  • @welchce

Vlad's knee is probably still not 100%. The other thing is that Roundtree is faster than people think. When he breaks away, all anyone thinks of is the awful Illinois play last year. What no one realizes is that Terry Hawthorne, the DB who ran Roundtree down, was a track star in high school on a similar level to Denard. He would have caught nearly every receiver in the Big Ten.

  • @TheZooCrew

True as "Tree" was a sprinter in HS in the 100 so yeah he is quite fast. Also, I actually don't think ppl realize just how good Roundtree is capable of becoming. He may be the best WR in the Big Ten this year.

  • @welchce if dorsey gets here it will be him and cam in the secondary from day 1

  • @TheGloveMI

Dorsey will likely start at corner if he makes it. I like Cam Gordon at the deep spot, and hopefully M-Rob or Furman can displace Kovacs at bandit.

  • @TheZooCrew

Or at least one will be ready to play (Mrob/Furman).

Kovacs will probably start there most if not all of 2010. I think 2011 maybe he could lose it. Marvin Robinson is a beast tho! So idk

  • 1:50 Thats What I Wanna See In a Starting Quarterback.... Look At that Block

  • D rob is gonna take the starting job. He may give us a couple turnovers per game but hell make up for it by being able to make a couple huge plays per game. His ability to keep the play alive makes him so dangerous.

    Go Blue!

  • All I have to say is "speed kills", and Denard's gonna murder out there this fall.

    Go Blue!

  • Heisman?

  • Great block by # 52 Stephen Schilling @ 2:00

Just thought I would point that out.

  • Nice block at 1:54 by DRob, always important to finish a play! Also impressive was Hopkins.

    ~GO BLUE!!

  • Denard is a special athlete- he has potential to be a program-changer for the Wolverines if he keeps progressiing, I still get sick to my stomach thinking about what Antonio Bass could have done for us, but Denard is on a whole different level. I really hope Rod is able to establish a fluid rotation for Denard/Tate so we can benefit from both of their talents, but if THIS is the Denard we see on gamedays there is no way he won't be starting.

  • Was he even touched on any of the plays they called him down? Can't wait to see him play this fall.

    GO BLUE!!!

  • Did anyone see this kid make a single mistake? Any incompletion he had was not his fault at all... he never took a sack... he didn't throw ANY arrant passes... ran the ball extremely well... wow!

  • he was on point, this is a hard one to call...
