The other provides all the songs and the lyrics thereto, as well as a musical that was apparently done by the same people of that tv show about American-excused torture 'n stuff starring Kiefer Sutherland.

Why would you compare it to the shining. Sure they are both great movies but they aren't really related at all. I would call the Shining a horror (obviously), and silence to me fits under the catagory of psychological thriller, possibly under a sub-genre involving crime because it is about serial killers. There is only one part of this movie that I would say is scary and it is covered in this very video in a comedic way.

Thats what really made Silence of the lambs great...it doesnt really fall into a regular janra...it kinda stads alone, yet it has alot of intrige, gore, suspense, and mystery. This is a great video glorifying the amazing music of Jon and Al Kaplan!! The reason why I do it is for visual aid for people that don't speak good English or just people who can't understand the lyrics. Sometimes the lyrics get a little fuzzy, that's where visual aid comes in handy!
