I hate images that get squashed either horizontally or vertically just to fill the screen - and there is not always a way to change this on these videos. A big thumbs-down for this!
@hznfrst Please don't give it a thumbs down because it doesn't display correctly on your browser ... it's working fine here on Google Chrome and on my iPod Touch 1st Gen. You do realise there are a variety of 3D controls?
@hznfrst I uploaded ALL my 3D videos long before YT took interest in providing a variety of viewing options. ALL were uploaded to be viewed using the 'cross-view' method as explained in my video notes, and elsewhere in videos on my channel. I cannot control what YT do with their software in attempts to make these videos accessible in other ways :(
@molewizard Sure ... there are all sorts of problems to overcome. Your eyes converge as you look at closer objects ... the cameras don't ... for example. My best result was obtained with 2 iPod Nanos ... you can find it on my Channel ;)
Do they not make some sort of wide angle lenses, so that light coming in from a 'short' angle (from the side) is altered, but light from afar (straight on) remains unaltered?
@molewizard Hi again ... I've no idea ... but if they did, it would then be difficult to get in close on the action. It's all a compromise, and an illusion, since what you're looking at, even in the 3D cinemas, is a 2D screen which means your eyes never have to adjust their focus as in real life. I have my doubts that it will EVER replace 2D film and photography. Now, holographic displays ... can't wait!!
Thanks!! I found it a moment ago ; -) You were saying something about the menu in another one of your videos and I was like 'where is it?'. Since when does this 3D settings exist here in YouTube?? It's so amazing!! ^^
Well, I have just found it. I'm happy!! ^^ I am another one of those 3D enthusiasts ;-) I have never tried to make 3D pictures, but I enjoy watching 3D very much =) Thanks for your vids!! ^^
I think that the centre of each lens is maybe too far apart? i guess they should be no further than 3-4 inches maximum. Otherwise the effect is ruined. Good work so far.
Thanks lol ... the second section suffers because the camera angles and zoom settings are not as good as they need to be ... need to figure out a way to achieve that easily. Regards Nytram

@nytram1309 Like I said, not all the controls appear all the time. You might consider making your videos more generic for a wider audience.

It's the white balance and the exposure that's different between the two shots... try using manual settings on each camera

The thumbnail ad for this said it was cross-eye.

there should be some gap between two images. otherwise you see three images mixed into each other and it destroys focus...

I like the effect that it gives off when you look outside the window.

Aspect ratio is fucked, which destroys the 3d effect.

@molewizard Try the link in the notes to the higher quality version ... they get that one playing perfectly :)

That worked. doesn't work when she's standing right in front of the camera at the end though.

I have to agree. I prefer 2d screens anyway, though 3d does appear to add a lot of detail to low-detailed images, which is one real benefit.

But you can't watch this in 3D by crossing your eyes, you need the red and blue glasses for this.

You can choose your preferred method using the drop down menu just beneath the video playback window.

The image on the right (when you select cross-eyed) is slightly more blue than the one on the left.
