I did what you did to install the fonts. I put them in the fonts folder (with all my computer fonts) and I got to open programss like ms word or photoshop & they are there! but then I close the program & reopen it later & none of the installed fonts are there! or in the fonts folder! :( and It's a pain to have to re-intall them each time! :( HELP?!?

@Debdebnibaste It means that a program (such as Windows explorer) is currently using the font file and therefore Windows cannot move it. What you can do: click CTRL + ALT + DELETE to open up the task manager, switch to the processes tab, end the process "explorer.exe" and then start it again by clicking File > Run > explorer.exe. !-- Your open windows, and the desktop, will 'disappear' when the process stops - but don't worry as this is normal. --!

thanks SOOOO much!!!! :). just to point out something, but some TrueType (.TTF) only work for Mac computers... I tried using your method of installing of a TrueType font and it didn't work. Dx Realized later that it was designed only for Macs. but still, THANKS :D

@JaKeUK1998 Sorry if this video is confusing. This is in fact Windows with a Mac-style theme installed. In hind sight I should have made this more clear, or refrained from using a Mac-style theme on Windows altogether.

@JaKeUK1998 I see. :P Well, there are tutorials available online. If you have XP (I assume that you do, since you're viewing this video) then all you have to do is manually patch the UXTHEME.DLL file and install a theme.

@Lorraahh If the message you get asks about replacing the current font (the font in use), then you don't need to do anything ---- the font is already installed. You can search the fonts folder like any other folder on your computer, so try searching for the font. If it's already installed then you don't need to replace it.

@ghostfair You need to go through all of the options and change the font where it's not greyed out. You may also need to tweak the sizes slightly depending on which font you've chosen. As for the font not being there, I'm not sure why - go through the list a few times as sometimes the name of the font doesn't match the name of the download once it's installed.

this does not work on my computer, it says "file is currently being used and cannot be replaced", i closed all the programs on my computer apart from the fronts thing, and it still didant work. can somebody tell me why this does not work???

Windows is still accessing the file - for whatever reason. You need to "unlock" the file from Windows. To do that you need to search for "Unlocker" - that's a program that will unlock the file for you so that you can use it again. Tell me if that works. :)

I have my font installed but I can't get it into any programs like word or my video editor, any advice on how to fix this?

@BarrowsBOY The font should show up in both of those programs if you re-open them after installing the font. So I know this sounds a bit obvious, but check the list again. The font may not be the same name as the download, or the list of fonts may be split into more than one alphabetical list. If you still can't find it, try restarting your computer. If neither of these things work, try another font - it may just be that the one you downloaded is 'broken'.

It had extract all. I dont know how to post a vid responce so I cant show you. Am I the ONLY one that CANT DO THIS??

Right, this is no problem. I only have the books because I have non-windows zipping software installed. So just right-click on your icon and select extract all and it will do the same job. :)

Search Google for a program called "unlocker". This will allow you to "unlock" the file just by right clicking on it and selecting "unlock". This happens when Windows is accessing the file when you try to use it.
