  • Bad compositing software or bad lighting technique.. The right image is washed out and doesn't match the left image making the line between them obvious. :(

  • That is bad lighting. I just did ONE take on each side and didn't care to redo it just for better lighting. The lighting on the right kept changing because the sun so I had to do my BEST to even it out with the left. If I didn't do anything, it would just be obvious that it was cut down the middle the whole entire time.

  • fun stuff :) i was thinking, one could record the first character, then transfer the audio to a mp3 player, and record the second character while listening to the mp3 player. which would help the sync. or play the first part on the computer while recording the second part. bravo for your experiment :)

    A couple of artifacts show up and the divide line between the two video's is the lower portion of the red comforter.

  • The problem that I mostly had was that the video where I am on the right, the trees kept blowing and made more or less sun come in every once in a while, so I had to try and edit it as well as I could to TRY to keep it the same the whole time. Hard stuff... And I accidentally moved the camera a bit between takes so I had to do my best to put it back in the same spot.

  • So true ... lighting is a real problem when using effects.

    You know what I would like to see ... more green screen effects. I was considering getting some inexpensive fabric at Walmart or Fred Meyers and using it as a back drop. Allowing neat mat background tricks.
