@BoydTheMilkmanX Actually for about the same price, I did the math with all the same basic components (Core i7, Water cooler, 4GB of GDDR3 RAM, 1GB GDDR5 video card, etc.) It cam down to $1850, compared to the $2450 Alienware Area-51. Add in all the extra features like a similar monitor, Fancy case with automated vents that open when your computer gets to a certain temp. and it costs a LOT more than what you are paying for.

I saw an alienware laptop that had 4gb less ram, 1gb less DDVR, a weaker video card, shittier speakers, and a smaller harddrive with a slower processor for just a little more than double the price of my laptop. @TheHardstyleIcon complete waste of money. Honestly - what do you get when you buy an alienware? A computer that is, more often than not, weaker than other computers for gaming within that price range. So, if not quality what is it you get? A fancy case so you can look at how cool your alienware is (Despite the fact it's barely better than most alternatives) and a custom boot up. So, apparently that's worth $1400 more than the laptop I bought. Makes a lot of sense.
