quick question. I just got a lap steel i think its small has 15 strings and shaped like a triangle, any idea what it is? it has a steel tuning wrench and a pick but i cant find any vids or pics of it.
A very reasonably priced lap steel can be had on ebay. It's called a Rogue E-3. I got one a few weeks ago and it's just right. $99 most of the time, but I have seen them for $79 on occasion. But one caveat... You need to get a decent tone bar. The cheap ones from China are garbage. I got one and a week later ordered a Dunlop 920. Slides are heavey and take some getting used to, but a good bullet slide is worth it.
Thanks for sending me Roy Thomson's way. I just ordered his Hank Williams course, and eagerly wait it's arrival. You have a great style, and I like your phrasing. Thanks again! Dan P.
Nice! I am thinking of getting a cheap Rondo to learn on. Ever since I heard Hank Williams I have been into the sound, and now that my bandmates want to cover "Sleepwalk"; i have an excuse!!
great work my man... sounds great

Can you do a video of the tuning? I've tried the tuning you mention but it don't sound right. Pretty please. You sound great.
