@Kimuramiami I just got one too. Put a hundred rounds of cheapo Herters thru it. Can you say accurate ?!! Easy to shoot too, even one-handed ! LOVE this gun !!
@KACVESKE i love mine to! haha...i went thru 19/ then 19c then i was like man i miss my 26!!! but now i got that and i sold my 19 and got me a glock 23 for home defense 4th Gen also. but my 3rd Gen Glock 26..I love both!!!!
Watching Hickok's vids instantly gives you the gun bug. I never really though about owning a handgun until I started watching his videos, two weeks after I saw the first one I bought a Glock 19. I love it, it's my baby.
This is my carry choice, in a Galco Summer Comfort. Shoots great, over 1200 rounds since owning it and not a single hiccup to date. Id suggest Glock to anyone. And i agree, i have one mag with a plus 2 ext. and i prefer it with the regular mag. Great video!
Hey Hickok, love all your videos, your reviews are great and entertaining. I am purchasing a G26 next week, I know you love talon grips, have you tried the rubber talon grips as opposed to the skateboard tape material? Just wondering, thanks!!!
Hickok45, you need to set up 10 different sized plates that make ringing noises at different pitches...you're such a damn good shot, do that and make a video where you play Mary Had A Little Lamb with your Glock 26. You gotta do it, man...
Hey again Hickok, I've just been through all of your videos up to this one and I've realized this vid is the first time you use your signature phrase "Life is Good!" Cheers from Cheney, WA
I spent the weekend before last in West Virginia and I got to shoot my first Glock. It was a G 26, and it was full auto. I'm not kidding you at all. There are already videos of me shooting it on YouTube but not on my channel.
hey hickok45 i live in ireland and the laws here are the worst in the world. im only starting with a .22 thats all i can get right now but i do love .22 im 30 is their any tips you can give me starting out shooting.john
@NEWDAD248 Well since you shoot that often I would recommend either one, because recoil probably is irrelevant for you. Regarding cost they're about the same the 9mm is just a tad less expensive than the .40.
I so enjoy your videos. I am originally from MS. Living in El Paso, TX at present. Here on the border we have real problem right across the border in Juarez. I have a 1911 and PT92 Taurus. The Glock 26 seems to be a great gun for CCW. Would it work as a pocket pistol, or would it be better holstered? Great Job!!!
what a good shot. i cant hit anything that far away with my subcompacts (pf9, 26 and 27) i have to get my xdm 45 to hit anything 50 plus yard and even with that i don't hit near as often as mr 45. with enough practice over the next 20 years i can be half this good
I am about to get a 26. I was at a range with my buddy and his guns and there was another guy there. He started telling me how he thinks Glock is overrated. I asked if I could shoot one of his pistols because I had never fired one and he happily obliged. He handed me a Walther P/22 and it jammed before I got to the third round lol. Great video Mr. Hickok, well I've watched 3 of your videos so far and look forward to the others. As a soon-to-be first time gun owner, I've been torn between a Glock or Sig or maybe H&K (to name a few). Thanks to you, I've decided on a Glock 26 and will have 'hickok45' engraved on it :) Thanks for all you do!
Once I get my CHL when I move back to VA, the 26 is going to be my primary concealed carry. I may buy some other guns as well for other places, like a 19 in my nightstand or something like that. I subscribed to you Hickok because of your knowledge. Thanks :)
I've been browsing for my first handgun for a while and have shot a few glocks now 27,30 and the 26 in the subcompact. I was worried about accuracy with such a short barrel but your video's have proven they can be accurate with practice. I absolutely love the 26 and bought it after the 1st time shooting with it. Amazing piece of engineering. As always, keep up the good work on your video's!!!
Great video, as always! I think you have me hooked on that 26, it will probably be my first pistol. do they come standard with the flat base mags or the extended finger groove mags? I, like you, prefer to shoot without the extended mags (they seem to be too much excess handle for some reason)
Wow, impressive, out of all the videos I've watched that G26 is hard to beat. I see why your a Glock guy, it just don't get no better than that. Whats amazing is that you have large hands and handle the 26 as good or perhaps better than any. I just appreciate you sharing your wealth of information and technique. I've already adapted to your shooting style and i'm doing much better at the range.
February 26,2011 Rambling comments In January 2011 I got the bug for guns after being disinterested for years. I went and looked at many guns, and settled on Glock, debated on a 19 or 26 and 30,I thought I need pinky support so I purchased a 19 gen 4 within days I changed my mind and purchased a 26 also. Almost purchased a 30 also, bigger is better BS. its as big as a 19. Found in the long run the Glock 26 is the best choice,in real life. Glock 26 rocks. 19 is now a orphan. But I pet it daily.
I'm fast becoming a huge fan of yours. Love watching all your vids. In the UK we don't have a lot of the shooting privilages as you guys in the States. Instead we have the use of .22 rimfire rifles, blackpowder guns, shotguns and air weapons. Watching your post more than make up for the lack of firearms. I currently use Co2 gas powered airguns/pellets guns to quence my shooting thirst. Keep up the good work. Your'e the best!
Man that was some fantastic shooting. Got to watching your vids when I got my Ruger LCP for a backup. My duty issue is Sig P229. In my dreams I wish I could shoot as good as yoju. And I'm no slouch. Waning the new Ruger LC9 but nobody in the Georgia area has one. Have you seen them and/or what are your thought about the LC9. Just subbed to your channel. Really enjoy it. Thank you sir.
thanks for your videos!!! i got my new gen 4 26 about a month ago and love it!!! thanks to you!! and it has the talon grips on it too... the only thing it doesn't like is the 33 round clip do you have any recommendations for a good 33+ clip

I like watching this over and over again! I have a Glock 17, 19, and 20...sold my 26 about 5 years ago...Big Regret. A good excuse now to buy a 26 Gen 4. It was a great shooter but needed the money. Had friend over and we shot about 6 of my guns, some revolvers...All said the G26 was their favorite. Can't wait to get it back. Thanks Hickock, you're an inspiration.
I really have a lot of fun watching your vids.. Shooting is excellent, and you seem to be having a blast. The lawn mower vid I think is the best.. This 26 video taught me something about the pistol.. In the right hands, it is very accurate. Thanks for taking the time.
Nice shooting, I also like the musical idea. You could get plates with different rings or notes to them and set up a sequence to Drummer Boy or something. I just bought a 26 yesterday, how old is yours and how's it's performance been? Have you had any trouble with it? One more thing, what ammo do you use for practice/target firing?
Love your vids hickok. When I was looking for my first carry weapon, all of my research kept leading me to the Glock 26. My research was dead on. I purchased a Glock 26 and haven't looked back since. I have a G19, and G26, and IMO they are 2 of the best handguns ever made. I fired plenty of firearms, but I am a Glocker for life. I've had my Glocks for over 8 years, and never a single issue with any of them. I mainly carry the 26 because I can conceal it better than the 19.
I've decided on the G26 to be my carry gun. Like pretty much everything about it, though it's not the nicest-looking gun there is. It has its own charm. Cant' wait till July when I can buy it.
To those of you looking at a G26 for CC...get one. I'm carryiing mine in a Galco classic lite holster and I like it. I've put a couple hundred rounds through it with all types of ammo from monarch steel cased to fiocchi and so far its 100%...no hiccups whatsoever. Glock trigger takes some getting used to but its not bad after awhile.
My friend just traded His PPS .40 for a 26. He's debuting it tomorrow :) I rented one a long time ago and the thing amazed me. Happy 2011 hickok. All the best.
i just wanna say i love your set up! i wish i had a place like that to shoot id be out there all damn day!!! and you have a good shot my dude! i love my baby glock 26! good video
Like it. Planning on getting a G26 for off-duty carry since I carry the G19 for duty/off-duty. Your issue with slide not locking on empty, not able to see your grip, you could be accidentally holding down the slide-lock. I used to do that a lot on a G22. But it can be a magazine issue or slide lock getting warn out. But im sure you fixed it by now. Good video.
I adopted a #26 around two years ago. Two questions, will the Russian ammo (Brown Bear) damage my Glock? It is affordable for me, but I am hesitant to use it.
Two, what is your opinion on the plugs on the market to plug the opening at the base of the handgrip? I have read several opinions about the hole being there, one being that it is there to allow debris to fall out of the firing mechanisms. Is it a good idea to put a plug in the opening, or, leave it alone?
Excellent shooting, sir! I wish I could afford to shoot more. You have an awesome range, too. I hope to have one similar at my future retirement residence.
@hickok45 steadiness runs in your genes! but i think the vids would be even more epic if your son used a tripod or a unipod for those long range recordings like this video @ 5:00- he has a little shake and it would be that much better if he used a tirpod. Thanks for the videos- very valuable!

i like how you laugh when you're happy with your shooting, you sure get a kick out of this. Wish I didn't live in the Soviet Union (read NYC) wish me luck on getting my CCW there.
Hi Hickok, i wonder, could the inner bike tube be a good substitute to wrap around your grips?? You can cut it in small bands. Man i like your vids!!! great !!
hello sir i was inspire by your demonstration with the glock 26 so i've just traded in my taurus709 slim for the glock 26 and i am darn impress with the glock's accuracy and performance. thanks to you i'm now in love with my new gun.
Thank you for all the videos. They have educated me in so many ways.
I am currently shooting a Glock 26 (mainly because of influence from your videos). It will eventually be my CCW gun. Like you have have area to shoot on my property.
I am not to the level of reloading ammo at this point. But looking for cheap ammo to practice on my range. If I am cleaning my gun regularly (thanks again for the great video on that) - can I buy cheap foreign ammo (russian, brown bear)?
@KyleKoehler1 i just put 100 rounds of brown bear through my glock 19 yesterday with no malfunctions at all. I would highly recommend giving it a good cleaning afterwards, though.
@KyleKoehler1 i just put 100 rounds of brown bear through my glock 19 yesterday to test the amo with no malfunctions at all. I do plan on buying more (much more:), but I would highly recommend giving your glock a good cleaning afterwards!
@patt575 I purchased 500 rounds on Wednesday... it is coming on Friday (I like the fast shipping) at .16/round it beats the .24/round at big box store.
Hickok, i love all your video's they are educational and fun. Is ammo so cheap in the USA, because you fire enormes ammounts of ammo !?? I would like to own a glockbut i,am Dutch, we aren't allowed to have any guns! good luck to you!!!
I must say i enjoy all your videos especially the sub compact glocks and watching you is why i bought the glock 26 it is an awsome lil gun and i shoot better with it than my glock 34 which is a full size competition type of gun i am thinkin about tradin my g 34 for glock 30
@AirsoftVeteran96 , They are supposed to be fine guns. I've not shot one; they just seem a big larger and less "dehorned" than Glocks of the same caliber and size. Great company and guns, though.
@hickok45 hey hickok i was wondering does it matter of the quality of the bullet. cuz some ppl sed that if its a cheap bullet then it will jam the glock 26. please respond.. thank you
When you aim do you keep both eyes open or one eye closed? I noticed the sight picture changes dramatically when you shoot with both eyes open compared to one.
How do you shoot? Do you use your left eye or your right eye? and do you close one eye when shooting. Also, I'm assuming you use the sights on the gun. Sorry just a starter. Thank you
Great video very helpful I've been thinking about a 9mm subcompact and this may be the one. I like that you are shooting the **** out of that thing with no jams or malfunctions and hitting targets 80 yards out. Keep it up.
@16dNails This is not unusual; a lot of people find that they shoot the compact better than the full size Glock and that they shoot the subcompact better than the compact.
@hickok45 I'm in this category. I shoot my G26 slightly better than my G19. I carry my G26 the most because of proficiency. I love your vids man! Keep up the good work. I live in the city(Philadelphia, PA) so I'm not allowed to have a home range like yours in the back of my house. :-(
love my g26!!! love it so

Wow, very nice tight 3 round grouping on that gong. Makes me wanna get a 26. =p How is the control on it for such a small grip?
Ravephenomena 11 months ago
The best Glock in my opinion, and I agree about the magazine extensions - I never like them on any gun, nice to find someone who thinks the same way.

Hi Hickok45

The glock 26 and 19 are the best pistols I've ever owned. I still have them. The rest are gone.

Can I come over for a play date? I love your set up there.

Thanks

Love your vids hickok. When I was looking for my first carry weapon, all of my research kept leading me to the Glock 26. My research was dead on. I purchased a Glock 26 and haven't looked back since. I have a G19, and G26, and IMO they are 2 of the best handguns ever made. I fired plenty of firearms, but I am a Glocker for life. I've had my Glocks for over 8 years, and never a single issue with any of them. I mainly carry the 26 because I can conceal it better than the 19.
sastaroo 1 year ago
I've decided on the G26 to be my carry gun. Like pretty much everything about it, though it's not the nicest-looking gun there is. It has its own charm. Cant' wait till July when I can buy it.

To those of you looking at a G26 for CC...get one. I'm carryiing mine in a Galco classic lite holster and I like it. I've put a couple hundred rounds through it with all types of ammo from monarch steel cased to fiocchi and so far its 100%...no hiccups whatsoever. Glock trigger takes some getting used to but its not bad after awhile.

Good video.

Greetings,
I adopted a #26 around two years ago.
Thank You

@hickok45 steadiness runs in your genes! but i think the vids would be even more epic if your son used a tripod or a unipod for those long range recordings like this video @ 5:00- he has a little shake and it would be that much better if he used a tirpod. Thanks for the videos- very valuable!

What are downfalls?
KyleKoehler1 1 year ago
@KyleKoehler1 i just put 100 rounds of brown bear through my glock 19 yesterday with no malfunctions at all. I would highly recommend giving it a good cleaning afterwards, though.

Hey hickok, im thinking of getting a H&K USP but i was thinking, i could get a glock and another great gun,..... which do you think?
AirsoftVeteran96 1 year ago
@AirsoftVeteran96 , They are supposed to be fine guns. I've not shot one; they just seem a big larger and less "dehorned" than Glocks of the same caliber and size. Great company and guns, though.

@hickok45 hey hickok i was wondering does it matter of the quality of the bullet. cuz some ppl sed that if its a cheap bullet then it will jam the glock 26. please respond.. thank you

When you aim do you keep both eyes open or one eye closed? I noticed the sight picture changes dramatically when you shoot with both eyes open compared to one.
Thank You for your great videos!

@16dNails This is not unusual; a lot of people find that they shoot the compact better than the full size Glock and that they shoot the subcompact better than the compact.
hickok45 1 year ago
@hickok45 I'm in this category. I shoot my G26 slightly better than my G19. I carry my G26 the most because of proficiency. I love your vids man! Keep up the good work. I live in the city(Philadelphia, PA) so I'm not allowed to have a home range like yours in the back of my house. :-(
