Hey guys, don't be to harsh on this. It was an admirable try at a live action version of the opening of the second JTHM issue. I liked some of the shots and the atmoshpere was great, setting up a barron and gloomy underbelly, but the feel was off. JTHM is really as much a satirization of society as well as a gritty social analysis. Nny is a character tormented and tortured by people and feels some don't offer anything to the world. He is a mysterious, dark tormented and insane character. Here,
lol i doubt five litres of blood could fit in those meager cups. and i know everyone has critiqued this to death, but i agree, the acting was a little... well ok i could tell you had to think really hard about your lines, they didn't come naturally. im not going to say anything about the hair; after all, you have to live with the hair afterwards until it grows back! But something i did like was that the person that played Nny was actually skinny enough for the character!

You messed up ALOT of the words. You really raelly fucked up the words. A comic book is half art and half writing. When you're translating that medium to film, you can't have the artwork, so it's VERY important that you get the dialouge down. Also, you really didn't capture Johnny. It was too...faked. You also kind of fucked up one of the more serious moments with the whole cup thing. JTHM has MANY funny moments, but this was a slightly more serious one.
I totally dig what you guys tried to do, but nny doesnt have that hatefull personality, he is the more quiet type of guy. And you didnt quite catch the humor of this particular issue of nny but other wise still cool you guys did it

Yes, I'm commenting on this video again. But it's compliment. In my opinion this is the best, I mean best actor for Edgar. The other Edgar by deadboy1313666 was TOO high-strong.

However, when he's getting a wicked, idea, or threats, he'll start sounding as if a crazy person. Other words, (creepy). Oh, and I don't think Devi would have gone out with Nny if he spoke creepy all the time. XD

I was on the edge of my seat every time Johnny considered that maybe what he was doing was wrong. I haven't actually read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, but I'm in love with it besides.
i think that nny's sly and underlying innocence wasn't shown much, if you look at the illustrations sometimes he smiles as he says certain phrases indicating that he's desperately in need of attention and loves it when he gets it, kinda like a puppy dog. nny's not just 100% anger, he's a confused puppy with giant claws hahaa. But I did enjoy this heaps, cheers for making it! please make more!!!!

Edgar was done wonderfully (only thing wrong was the hair, but I wouldn't cut off that gorgeous hair just for one video) but Nny... he could have been better. a lot better. needed more manic grins and faster movements and the shirt and stuff like that... and I didn't find the voice right either. A very few words I've used were a bit inaccurate, but that was straight from my memory, like I said. But no, Edgar wouldn't say such a thing, especially not "that" harsh; which I mean, in your description. Though, it made me laugh a bit. I also looked up Edgar's name, it means protector of the good. ok...ima say that this was accurate at certain points, but then again it wasnt at certain points...at certain times thwe acting was fine...and at certain times the acting wasnt that good....but overall good job...better than some of the other stuff out there.....i like the bit of improvisation... it was cool

The acting is sub-par, the closest thing to appearances is Edgar's glasses...this just isn't very good.
You just sat down with a script, a camera and tied a kid up and called it good.Should have put a lot more effort into it.

This is probably the best JTHM video on you tube. I actually quite liked the acting, it was off, but the comic is kind of writen that way...I think you should definitly do more Jhonen inspired video, seeing as this one turned out so well!

Hahaha I LOVE it! Not at ALL like Johnny, I'm sorry, but ignoring that, it was soooo funny. You both did really well! Especially the guy that was killed... you're actually like, a pretty good actor. Not that the other guy wasn't good. I feel like I've actually seen or heard him from somewhere before. Done anything else?

I was on the edge of my seat every time Johnny considered that maybe what he was doing was wrong. I haven't actually read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, but I'm in love with it besides.

i think that nny's sly and underlying innocence wasn't shown much, if you look at the illustrations sometimes he smiles as he says certain phrases indicating that he's desperately in need of attention and loves it when he gets it, kinda like a puppy dog. nny's not just 100% anger, he's a confused puppy with giant claws hahaa. But I did enjoy this heaps, cheers for making it! please make more!!!!

Edgar was done wonderfully (only thing wrong was the hair, but I wouldn't cut off that gorgeous hair just for one video) but Nny... he could have been better. a lot better. needed more manic grins and faster movements and the shirt and stuff like that... and I didn't find the voice right either. But, hey, I loved the place you guys filmed and the contraption looked fun.

It's quite simple, Edgar told Johnny, "I rather not die, but don't seem to have much say in the matter. So fuck fear! I have nothing to fear!" Eh, that was from memory. I didn't watch this vid for a while either. But, he was pretty accurate.

A very few words I've used were a bit inaccurate, but that was straight from my memory, like I said. But no, Edgar wouldn't say such a thing, especially not "that" harsh; which I mean, in your description. Though, it made me laugh a bit. I also looked up Edgar's name, it means protector of the good. Thought I'd give ya a fun fact. :)

I like this one. In most of the Jthm videos I've seen, I didn't like the johnny's basically because it seemed like they were trying too hard. I HAVE read the comic by the way, and that's just how I feel.

What the... What in the world IS this??? I have never seen such a bad Nny! Who here knows how to say the written things??? So far, I have seen ONE movie with a good enterpetation of Nny's way of talking (too bad the voice was too badly adjusted... :/) but I agree with the rest. Good victim there ;)
And also, good place to shoot in.
