I watched her back before she hit it super big on DirecTV's concert series and she was not at all autotuned and she did sound very lovely but she also is known for being a pop musician and they generally use autotune, so yes she does use it but she is no less of a musician for it. Zooey has a timeless voice and she isn't the type of musican who would use autotune so frankly it isn't a valid comparison

@jennabenna3919 They are similar, eyes, hair, eyes ... The way of singing, I do not know, really reminded me of Katy Zooey, but then became a huge difference!

jennabenna3919.... Agree. The first time I saw Katy Perry sing,I kissed a girl, I told my 17 year old daughter, "I didn't know Zooey D. had a song out, etc...," and she laughed at me and told me that it wasn't Zooey...Didn't believe her. They are both equally talented and adorable! I think the strongest similarity however is their "quirkyness!"

You can't just compare her to Katy Perry because they look alike. They're completely different artists. Zooey could never sing pop like Katy and Katy could never sing this jazz/hipster stuff/whatever you call this like Zooey does.

Sorry guys but Katy perry is actually better, don't believe everything you see on MTV, almost everything in the music industry is autotuned (or pitch corrected). To how much they put on is what causes T pain or lil john to have the electronic/robotic sound. I love Zooey but this was pretty average aye, she has mad swag though.

I went to Katy Perry's concert in Auckland, New Zealand, and i'm sorry but even I was surprised... Katy has a Christina Aguilera voice, no fucking shit. I don't even like Katy Perry I just went with a friend and was blown away, she did a solo and it was WOW.

@ten10zinG katy perry actually has a beautiful voice, if you here her voice live or before she became famous, the band she was in had amazing music, shes just become so mainstream that shes sold out a little and doesnt do her best vocally anymore

@ten10zinG I don't think that comparison is vaild. Katy Perry has done music with out autotune. I watched her back before she hit it super big on DirecTV's concert series and she was not at all autotuned and she did sound very lovely but she also is known for being a pop musician and they generally use autotune, so yes she does use it but she is no less of a musician for it. Zooey has a timeless voice and she isn't the type of musican who would use autotune so frankly it isn't a valid comparison
