Wow! I grew up in the NY suburbs and never heard of Dean until I was stationed in England in the late 70s and heard this song on Radio One and loved it! Now my wife loves it too and we're big Deano fans. I'm really happy that he's a big hit in the UK but can't wait until he comes to Florida! Haven't seen this since Top of the Pops. This is one of those songs that grows on you as you get older. I remember hearing it for the first time about 20 yards away from the very spot I'm typing this, nearly thirty years ago.
