Why are you so angry @carlos25099 ? It is the goal of the Reno Bachata Festival to celebrate all styles of Bachata.

If you think Bachata, Salsa or Cumbia Festival promoters are in it just for the money then you need to look again. Promoting these dances are done purely for the passion and love of the dance. If we make money then great! But if you sit down and talk to any dance promoter they will tell you many stories of fun parties that made no money. Please enjoy the Bachata for the love of it

it just show that ataca y la alemana can't dance is all performance whenever they dance. I wonder how long it takes them to learn the routine event in their routing you can see that they lack dancing skills.

I wonder if you know how to dance half the class they dance, that you allow yourself to talk like that. You can't judge from one Video if they can or can't dance - maybe they were in a playful or lazy mood or whatever that they weren't doing their max, not to mention that what I saw in this video was great dancing and I wish I knew how to move like that. Show some respect to those who have earned it...

@AlonGoshen I guess you dont know left from right, and i seen amny video where they perform and the performance is good but their dancing is ok. And yes they are playfull but so is troy but you he is keepingthe rythm and the flow. it is funny how people such as Ataca, Juan Ruiz, Rodney Aquino seem to be so playfull when they dance socially. can you tell me why?

Yes, I can tell you why. Cause dancing is all about having fun - making sure your partner is having fun while you're having fun yourself. Some people take themselves too seriously during the dance, and concentrate on themselves and on their moves, instead on their dance partner and the fun of the dance. One way of having fun, is to be playful, and that's a great thing to be able to do, and I wish more people would learn how to do that.

Your logic is flawed. There are several ways to enjoy a dance, and smiling is just one way, just as being Playful. Also, I was talking about "Some people" and not Troy and Jorget. Have you even watched the movie, that you say that Troy is not smiling? Look at 0:23 for example and see the wide smile. Each is having fun in their own way, only difference that it bothers you the playfulness of Ataca and La Alemana, Juan Ruiz, Rodney Aquino, etc...

like I have mention in the past we all dominican dance different and we don't go arround naming bachata after us, the problem with those people Icriticisize is that they have no bachata rytthn and flow and in the process loosing the essence of the dance.
