  • Never in broadcast history have broadcasters made this many guesses...and been wrong on every one. #fail

  • Thompson will finish 5th in the finals

  • @rico2hot I agree with that based on past performances a Jamaican sweep of the 100M finals is possible with Bolt, Powell and Carter finishing in the top 3 , Walter dix or Thompson fighting for 4th , the best I think Thompson would do is maybe 3rd , I do believe the T&T mens 4x100 relay will place in the top 3 with Jamaica winning with USA and T&T battling it out for 2nd and 3rd

  • Very good run. But I still looking at a Jamaica sweep, but a Caribbean sweep will be ok too. But I was banking on 1.Bolt 9.70, 2. Powell 9.76 and Yohan Blake or Nesta Carter about 9.86, although my confidence is not in Thompson, I have to say he will be a great contender.

I think Bolt will be ok for Daegu, may be not in 9.5 but 9.70 shape because of his back, but at Olympics 2012 if he recover fully then I think there will be another world record in the 100m

  • peaking at the right time Thompson is a big time performer, can't doubt the man

  • many are doubting this run but i believe it, the guy is good and he's a big time performer. He' is coming into form at the right time to possible stop a Jamaican Sweep in the mens 100. big up Richard.

  • 9.7 is a difficult time to achieve, not many racers, even those who run sub 10 times can boast of going 9.7 on a regular basis. great run from Torpedo as well. The commentators were wack in this vid tho, rel hate n bad talk against torpedo prior to his victory.they spoke great of everyone else except him.

  • What 9.7s???..You better get real.....

  • Good job Thompson, try giving Burns some lessons my yute

  • Congrats Thompson good job, you said Ato said you could run 9.7 , 9.7 is pedestrian compared to bolt running 9.58 at the last world champs, you need to step up the game and as you said not get caught up in the moment to be a real credible threat to Bolt.

  • @curtiss744 9.7 pedestrain?? There are only a handful of athletes in entire history of mankind have run that, tell me, whats your 100m pb!!! And Bolt is clearly no longer in 9.5 form, 9.7 could be a dangerous time in Daegu

  • @Phux9 My PB in the 100M is not the issue what I meant by 9.7 being pedestrian is that in the context of a 9.58 record it is, even though only a small handful of humans have ever run a 9.7 , a 9.7 would not put Thompson in the same league as Bolt he still would be overshadowed by Bolt he needs to talk 9.5 or better to be in the record books or create a big upset .

  • @curtiss744 You must not know too much about track if you think 9.7 is pedestrian. Only two people in all of human history have run faster than 9.7. And only one person has done it without having the maximum 2.0 wind at their back.

  • @EPizits I do know a lot about track and I am not discounting how fast 9.7 is, what I was trying to say in so many words is that bolt has set the bar so high with his 9.58 record that a 9.7 even though is at the elite level of sprinting when you put bolt's record into context would be like a footnote, 9.7 would not create the shock and awe or wow factor that a 9.5 or new record would create, a 9.7 would not make Thompson a legend he needs to talk world record, to be considered the greatest.

  • @curtiss744 That's not completly true. You can still be a legend and never break the world record. Ato Boldon never broke the 100m world record but he's one of the all time greats. No woman seems to be anywhere near breaking the womens wr but there have still been several greats. Bolt himself will have a hard time running 9.5 again. Records are great, but they can be broken. If Bolt won the next olympic final in 10 flat would he still not be considered one of the greatest of all time?

  • @EPizits A 9.7 will make Thompson one of the all time greats, but his performances have to be more consistent something that thompson has not been since 2008, Ato never broke the record , but Ato was consistently running under 10 sec at 1 point he was # 3 on the all time list of number of times under 10 sec after powell and Greene as for Bolt running 9.5 again who knows he may or may not do it again, but I will say good luck to Thompson.

  • @curtiss744 Fair enough. All I can say is, I'll be surprised if we see another sub 9.6 anytime soon. I don't think Thompson will beat Bolt, but I won't be shocked if Bolt doesn't repeat in Daegu. In the 100m at least. He still has a great chance of winning, but I believe he's more focused on the olympics next year.

  • @EPizits Bolt will break the world record nxt year and thompson will run a sub 9.8 nxt year watch and see i'm done talking cuz u guys dnt follow track as I do so stop puttin limit on bolt even expert says u dnt kno how fast bolt or anyone can really go

  • @rico2hot Im not putting a limit on Bolt or Thompson. All I'm saying is I don't think we'll see sub 9.6 this year. And I've been following track for 12 years so don't come at me with that nonsense. BOLT himself even said he won't break the world record this year. What do you have to say about that? Bolt knows better than anyone else how fast he can run. And if you would have read carefully, you would have saw that I said I think he's more focused on the olympics next year.

  • @EPizits He will run sub 9.5 nxt year i did not say this year...smh

  • @rico2hot Yea but I did. That's when you said I was putting a limit on his abilities. Which I did not. I know he can go sub 9.5. But I think he's saving it for London. Which is what I've been saying this whole time.

  • @curtiss744 Man your foolish Bolt doesnt look like he'll ever run 9,5 again anyway

  • Race starts at 04:56

  • News: Mike Rodgers tested positive for a "banned stimulant".

  • @jonolollmao same with Mullings :o

  • Comment removed

  • @jonolollmao Yeah and Mulling's is facing a lifetime ban because he's been convicted once before. It'll be interesting to see what happens! Thank god it wasn't Bolt or Powell lol

  • @sokha326 It's definitely a lifetime ban!? I heard it was either that or a minimum of 4 years. Either way he is 28, so by then he'll be at retiring age lol

  • You all are living on the ghosts of Bolt past, and a rude awakening is coming. The Throne was toppled last year by Gay, and the aura of invincibility is gone.

In sport, you don't get by on what you did before. Ask TIGER WOODS. Bolt is going to lose BIG in Daegu at 100m and maybe then some of you will wake up. want to know what 9.85 is? It's a time Bolt has struggled to run this year. That's what it is.

    Watch and wait. A S A F A and B L A K E, 1,2.

  • @tonylongman i'll be comming back right here after the finals of the 100m and i'll be laugh.

  • @tonylongman i bet your predictions will change one you see the heats and semifinal in Daegu.

  • @tonylongman please. the only person that can possibly upset Bolt in Daegu is Powell, Bolt has always peaked in late August. He'll be fine in Daegu

  • do u have the womens and mens 400m finals

  • did the commentator said Usain Bolt watch out?

are we speaking about the same Usain Bolt who jogged 9.85 (the TNT National Record) in the semis in the Olympics? i hope not.

  • @keonist the olympics were three years ago brah

  • @hoyadestroya85 and Bolt is still Bolt. A guy who is in a class of his own.

  • @keonist Nah Bolt is recovering from injury last year, he hasn't been able to get into shape this year. Sure, he's capable of Gold this year, but it isn't gonna be as easy as it was in 08 and 09.

  • @jonolollmao never said he was in the shape of 08 and 08 but i still believe that no one is in his class right now.

  • Comment removed

  • @jonolollmao yep, i believe he'll be in enough shape to win, he said he was aimming for 9.6

  • @keonist say?

  • Amazing. This is an incredible run from someone who has not run better than 9.95 all season long. Perhaps he is peaking at the right time. Wow.

  • Congrats to Richard on setting a new T&T national record 9.85.

At its nice how he thanked Ato for the guidance & inspiration!

  • the clock say 9.46 lmao
