Thanks for the stretches. Do you do weight training or any other training for the benefit of juggling? I heard that some jugglers used heavy props to train muscle and ligaments.
Thanks a lot man! I can 3 ball cascade and i was working on my 4 ball fountain all of yesterday and today my right wrist is hurting a lot. These excises will be great for me. My wrists feel better already.
MY fingers are really not flexy at all like I can barely bend my ring finger without bending my pinky, please respond this does not effect my juggling right please reply I 'm so worryed please reply
Hey, I really find your videos helpful. Do you have any suggestions on how to not get back pain from juggling? Every time I juggle for over 45 minutes my back hurts afterwords from bending over to pick up the props all the time. I'm not in bad shape at all so I don't know why this happens. I've tried stretching my back before I juggle but it doesn't seem to help. Stretching my back as much as I can I can only reach about a foot away from my feet so that might be a problem...
Thanks, I have been getting a dodgy left wrist from juggling for about 3 hours a day for a month. I have bought a wrist support and I'm juggling about an hour a day now, and only with 3 and 4 balls.
Thanks really much!! I have been juggling around 4 years now and this last year I have been feeling wrist pains, neck pains, shoulder pains and back pains. I never stretch out when I do juggling but I have felt that I should start. I also have overmobility in several muscles and joints so its hard to find stretch exercises that works for me. I will really try these. Thank you very much and if you have any tips about my other pains, I would love to hear them.
i watched this a while a go but didn't use it and now my wrists hurt when juggling clubs so i'm doing these streches all the time now. i should have paid attention the first time.
I know you are not a medical professional but how many times a day would you recommend these stretches be done (off the record of course:) I did them with the video and was amazed at how good it felt. I have arthritis in my wrists. Do you have any ankle stretches?
hey man, great video! I struggle doing bicep curls because of my right wrirst.. so painful. A combination of your video and wrist straps certianly helped me! :) Thanks!
Everything I have seen from you that I was able to do...has improved a lot since watching you :) I tried some of these things before my 3 hour training today and wow...it made quite a difference.
glad someone has put this out there, its soooo important. I've been using things i've leaned in Yoga to stretch out. I'm add some of these for my wrists into my routine.
what I'd like to add is that i do juggle for a bit before stretching, 5-10 min untill my muscles feel warm. sometimes i spin poin instead to get to the stretching. but very relaxed, no complicated throws.
Its very important if you do body throws with clubs to stretch out your shoulders and back as well
thanks dude, this helps. i'm starting to feel "old" ...i'm totally gonna have some serious arthritis by the time i'm 40... or 30 depending on how much spare time i have. hehe.
I would love to think this would help you out. Remember to take it easy on these things. Too much torque and you'll just screw your wrists up all over again. Good luck.

@cytocarbon You can always bend at the knees when picking up a dropped ball, or you can learn kick-ups and not have to bend at all.

Great Tutorial!
I'm a rock climber and I'll attest too many of us do quick high torque wrist/forearm stretches without proper conditioning and isolation.
Thanks for these, I've gotta keep my wrists in shape because a lot of the time their the only thing keeping gravity from winning.
dmarbizzle 4 years ago
Great point! I have a friend who is a top ranked one-of-a-kind rock climber-- even had his picture in Climbing calendar. His forearms are steel.

Thank you. Much like in an Akido school, the sport of juggling needs a history of improvements leading to an apex of ability.
