Was hoping on an update on how the 40-9 barrel is working for you, and if you still prefer it over keeping your glock it's original .40 caliber. I own a Glock 19 and was in the market for a 26, I came across a 27 with the 40-9 barrel, so I picked that up in hopes that'll work just as reliably as a 26 with the 40-9 barrel. I haven't had a chance to test it yet.
This guy has ZERO credibility when it comes to firearms. There are alot of people that know alot about firearms that DONT shoot themselves when trying to look cool for a video. What a goofball.
I will however, give him a nod to actually putting the video on the internet, showing him shooting himself and destroying any chance of ever having any credibility.
There is NO SUCH THING as an "accident" with a firearm. Its called negligence-carelessness-stupidity.
@VoodooPolitico awful opinionated for someone who hides their channel and has nothing to contribute to the community in the first place other than criticism towards credibility when you appear to have none yourself, he obviously didnt mean to shoot himself, it happens to military and LE too, call it what you will
@Taud My "channel"? I dont have one -there is nothing there. Military and police shooting themselves? One of the first things you are taught in the military, when handling firearms, is that an "accidental discharge" is NOT accidental and is most definetly a punishable offense. If a COP were to shoot themselves? AUTOMATIC re-training and possibly reassignment. Its caused through carelessness. Negligence. Its unexcusable when handling a firearm. Accidents do NOT just happen. Its NOT normal.
@VoodooPolitico Well 2 police officers have actually shot themselves using the same holster so apparently you really dont know... and those things do happen, look it up, you know how to search the net....
@VoodooPolitico that holster is actually banned by several shooting ranges because of those incidents.... and Yeah that was the point, with nothing to show for yourself, how can you know who is credible in the first place?
@Taud While I cant see what kind of holster he does have, it doesnt matter. NEGLIGENT DISCHARGE comes through negligence. Carelessness. Its HIS FAULT. Not the equipment.
There is NO WAY anybody can possibly defend it. its NOT a normal thing. Its NOT just one of those things that happen. Yes, if you shoot yourself trying to look cool for a camera, you have ZERO CREDIBILITY. There is no such thing as an "accidental" discharge.
@VoodooPolitico You have zero credibility of your own because your page doesnt exist, if its fair for you to criticize his "credibility" I'll do the same with yours, or rather the lack of....
As I said, two police officers have shot themselves the same way using this holster, I'm afraid your argument doesn't stand, an accident is something that was not a deliberate action, do you think he shot himself on purpose?
@Taud KID- You cant argue this. Its there on VIDEO where he SHOOTS HIMSELF ON "ACCIDENT". It comes from being negligent and careless. I have years of actual training and real world experience to back up my comment. As do millions of other people that DONT shoot themselves. There is no such thing as an "accident" with a firearm. PERIOD. However, if you want to play "Billy The Kid" out in a cornfield to look cool for a camera, chances are you are going to shoot yourself. N E G L I G E N C E.
@VoodooPolitico You just said you dont know what holster hes using.... look it up that holster has a button near the trigger, as i said hes not the only one to shoot themselves with this type of holster, now is that a coincidence?
By the way I'm 25 so if im a "kid" you must be much older and more "mature" right? splets try to keep the school yard name calling out of this.
@Taud KID- Even the clown that shot himself, has the common sense to use the words NEGLIGENT DISCHARGE. Finger was on the trigger when he claims he hit the safety by accident trying to hit the button to pull it. SHOULDNT
@Taud He SHOULDNT have had his finger that early when he pulled. However, he also said that "these things happen". NO THEY DONT. Its that simple. A REAL expert will tell you the same thing I did. I can understand that you are a FAN of this guy and will say anything to stick up for him. The guy is a silly clown, but he seems very likeable and the more of his videos I
@Taud The more of his videos I watch, the more the guy grows on you. HE STILL HAS ZERO CREDIBILITY with firearms. But he has good insight into gear. Just a redneck with a video camera that shot himself while playing Billy The Kid in a cornfield.
@VoodooPolitico KID- for fucks sake will you stop spamming? we all understand that he was negligent, and thus shot himself. we get that, he said that already. get the fuck over it, he didnt shoot you or me or anyone but himself.
@derekgrebner87 Did you use Glock 17 mags, or Glock 22 mags? If you used Glock 22 mags, did you have to switch out the follower for a 9mm one? Interested in trying this conversion myself...
The reason he shot himself is because he's a "self-trained expert". It takes years of discipline and professional training to do a lot of what he attempts. Don't let anyone make you believe differently. It's your life. Just another fat wannabe who never will.
Hey red, the reason why you shot yourself is you went to fast. In the u.s military there is a saying. That's "Slow is fast, and fast is slow." Take your time and over time you'll be fast. Don't rush
About time you ditched that fanboy .40. :) I've been arguing the 9mm is a superior CCW caliber to other alternatives for some time. Rob Pincus also joined the 9mm team and wrote an article as to why he switched. Plenty of top trainers are advocates for the 9mm these days. It's come full circle... except for me, I've always liked it. But then I'm cool like that. I'm a trend setter. LOL Merry Christmas, Tex.
You bought a $100 barrel and a whole new set of mags @ $25 each, because .45acp didn't blow your leg off? Bullshit. You can't carry it, so you figured that 9mm ball will do less damage if you accidentally shoot yourself again while tactically target shooting.
Very cool, and that black conversion barrel is exactly the way I would go. I run the 40 rtf too and I've been eyeballing that 9mm conversion for a while. Thanks forbthe heads up.
I get one stove pipe failure out of 100 rounds with my storm lake conversion barrel. Just upgraded the ejector to a glockworx hopefully that takes care of it.
@LockNReload To me it makes sense to convert the 22 into the 17 because with a quick barrel change you've got 2 guns in 1. Cost effective and very versatile.
I recently also made the switch to 9mm for my Glocks. As a Paramedic in a major U.S. city's urban area I have dealt with more gun shot trauma then I can remember. My experience echoes your own personal experience. Its all about shot placement and shot quantity. The only hard and fast rules that I have learned are that if you want to the job done, bring a rifle. Oh...also that Murphy is lurking around every corner. God bless man. You rocked on Tosh.0
Why??? You broke a good gun just because you shot your leg? I guese the 9mm will leave a smaller hole next time! LOL, give me a shout D you get a chance!
You won't have any problems with it. As you know I also have a 22 with the blind marked black LW barrel. I find them more accurate than the OEM tubes too. The tungsten will help with flip too. 9mm rules. Only men hung like hamsters need big bores. lol
Tex...lol...I like you really I do...and usually I dont like all the F bombs...but I burst out laughing at the end when you dropped that one...Can you make one video without dropping an F bomb? LOL...I like you Tex.
I've never owned a Glock, But,, 9mm is my favorite round for pistol.
Hey Tex,,,try to shoot either 124 gr or 147 gr 9mmif you're hunting.
I felled a hog a while back with my Browning Hi-Power Mk3 with 147 gr.
Worked great, the heavier bullet shoots further and straighter and has more knock down force,,,the 110 and 115 gr rounds are too flighty and will not do as much damage unless you shoot hollow point, then it's short range only.
Buy some surplus NATO grade 9mm, it's more powerful...!
You must be a Trust Fund baby to have money to burn converting a Glock 22 to a Glock 17. Hell Tex just for shit and giggles and too burn up more money pointlessly why don't you drop a Ferrari Engine in a 2012 Corvette or buy Pamela Anderson a boob job?
