music played to perfection...I thank you all for starting out my day on a positive

    note!

  • love it, great singing and the playing is wonderful

  • Hi! Its been awhile since i listened to this so came back for another listen. Going to listen to the dobro next. Powerful song. Way to go Bekah.

  • Fantastic. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this, I certainly enjoyed it and passed it on to many friends.

  • BEAUTIFUL MUSIC....and WHO IS THAT VERY TALENTED YOUNG LADY?

    Merry Christmas! :)

  • WOW.....Excellent !!!

  • Hi from England - I really liked your youthful rendition of this lovely song. Try listening to the version, very different by Norma Waterson, Liza Carthy & dad on the guitar - you're up there with them, don't worry! Check out some of there other songs, keep up the good work.

  • Lovely, really liked that, proper live music in home setting, just where it should be. I loved the girl's voice and the not too dominating backing. Until recently I wasn't a fan of American country music, but am into the live folk music scene in ENGLAND. I've recently been converted by a Crooked Still live performance near me, have been cruising You Tube for more nice Appalachian music. Must visit.

  • so very Super!

  • Just awesome great job by all so much talent in one room

  • I am a long time fan of old country folk music. This song is my all time favorite, and I like your version better than any I have ever heard. The lack of high tech just makes it better. I especially liked the harmony and the guy with the acoustic guitar, and the kid has a great voice. I would love to have a recording, since my computer quits in the middle of the song. Are there any available? Hope Bekah goes on to great things. She's better than a lot of current "stars".

  • nice tune love it God bless

  • wow them girls are fine as can be

  • Sounds more authentic in the "living room" that in the rented studios, with all of their fancy acoustics and electrified overkill.

  • the empty room offers a very nice acoustic value. well done y'all.

  • Wow...that was great!

  • Yeah, I know it's Bekah, sorry. Got distracted by the great music!

  • That's the Markin fiddle I'm talking about. Good job family, & Behak has it. Bet it would expose her voice a bit better in Bm, or even C, but great for a room shot video. That Dobro player sounds darn good too.

  • Awesome talented family!

  • Thank you! It's very nice, and you've got a wonderfoul voice!

  • A very nice rendition of Eva Cassidy's Wayfaring Stranger by you, your parents & relatives. And you also looked great!

  • Thank you all for posting this. Sounds good and smooth.

  • Incredible that you did this in your living room! I don't have words to describe the emotions I felt listening to this masterpiece! All five of you wove voice and instruments into the finest rendition of this that i've heard in a long, long time. For such a young lady, you deliver eternally-earned emotion. Very respectfully, Chas.

  • There's so much crap to wade through on youtube, I'm so glad I found this gem! Great heart felt performance of this traditional spiritual/folk music. From a music teacher with very high standards.

  • This is one incredible bit o' music is what it is!

  • Great job - you need about 10 mikes to pick up the detail ;)

  • lol...this is really really good. harmonies are awesome. its amazing how great family members harmonize together without really even thinking about it. can't wait till my little girl can sing (she's only 18 mths!!) she does sing the Dora the Explorer song (sort of) sounds like this....."do do do do dowa".

    Joleena Thomas

  • great stuff

  • great voice! ;)

  • great job

  • too too lovely

  • Absolutely wonderful!

  • Very nice......Did they do alittle of this song in the movie Cold Mountain? I think they did.

  • yes

  • It is an old southern mountain song that I played in my guitar playin' days and the first time that I heard it was on the very first 'Then Came Bronson' which was turned into a television series with Michael Parks.

  • How incredibly wonderful it all is. The musicians are so talented and the pretty girl has a voice I could listen to the rest of my life. Thanks for this one. Lancer

  • You need better miking techniques. Sorry, the camera mics pick up more of the room than the performance, and especially on YouTube, which is in Mono. Of what I could hear of your voice, and the music, I thought it was good, though.

  • Absolutely amazing!!! It is so very very good. Thanks.

  • I really liked this.

  • I don't like what's typically called 'country music'....

BUT I am just blown away by this song....

    Really, Really well done!

  • I really enjoy you all! :)
