  • i think you know that this mustang should be more saved by you

because everyone want this old mustangs that could cost 100.000.00$

  • Nice mustang man, what kind of lowering and tire size did you go with?

  • @69trickson

It uses most of the street bandit handling kit from NPD Plus global west lower A arms and adjustable strut rods.

    Front tires are 195 60 14

    Rear tires are 215 70 14

  • Is it shifter..? sounds like one...do You have the 351 engine installed ? anyhow...wonderful car...I love the US, I spent several years there during my military career...I fell in love with the way of living the savoir vivre as we call it in Saarland my homeland (part of Germany) :o)

  • @grazyarnie

In this video thats a c4 3 speed automatic being shifted manually with a B&M Ratchet shifter. The car now has t5 5 speed manual transmission. The engine is 302 with street cam.

    Thanks!

  • @JONSEREDdotWS

Yeah you know what the equivalent of $2400 is today? It is about $30000 from today

  • @Vettejocke

    actually its 16,152.30

  • I dislike modified cars, they look cheap, why didnt you leave it stock? or restor it to stock condion.

  • @Vettejocke

because the drive like crap...they have tons of body roll, the ass squats and the nose rides high.. I want something that goes where I point it.

  • @Vettejocke because the stock is a POS How good is a car that only cost 2400 when new? Fine if you just want to look at. If you want to drive it with out killing your self on today's roads better modify it. Dan Gurney did not drive stock in the pony races. What did Shelby do? He Modified them.

  • @JONSEREDdotWS yeah, and the corvette cost 3-4,000 at the same time? It's called inflation dude. gas was 35 cents a gallon...

    Walter

  • my friend had a 66 coupe with a police interceptor that was a rapid car lol except it was an automatic

  • mustang rules but tacho kind took it back abit

  • Sweet car! I have a '66 coupe 289, nothing special, but still an awesome car!

  • Where r u drivin?

  • Three Rivers Ca

  • Im an Aussie so excuse no poor knowledge :) CA is that california? or Canada?

  • California

  • In perfect phase.

  • dude this is a shelby!

  • not really...its not even a fastback...But Its still a lot of fun.

  • what kinda differential do you have on this car, 8.5 ?

  • Its an 8" with a Eaton Detroit Truetrac torque sensing differential. It works just like a stock open differential until one wheel loses traction then it functions like a posi trac. whatever amount of traction the slipping wheel still has is multiplied by 4 and added to the gripping wheel.

Its the perfect setup for a street car...you get two nice even stripes when you burn out but none of the horrid effects like popping, banging, lurching from a locker. No clutch packs to wear out either.

  • how much petrol do ur car consum at 100km???

  • about 12 liters over 100km

  • with a carburated 4.6 engine?? maybe you can get that on the highway at 60km/h with a 2.73 rear end..

I hardly get 7KM/liter from my golf GTI wich has modern injection, 6 speed, variable valve timing and 100 less HP..

  • your right is actually closer to 18 liters...my bad.

or about 4.5 gallons over 70 miles....I have never calculated it exactly... but 15 Mpg is pretty close

  • 18liters every 100 kilometers is more like realistic ;)

    nice ride BTW mustangs rocks

  • Why didn't you put the exhaust through the rear valance?

  • came that way when i bought it...sounds nice so i left it.

  • what engine is under the hood?

  • 302 with street cam and carter AFB.

  • how much power does it put out?

  • never had it on a dyno

    0-60 in about 5.7 to 6 sec

    2800 lbs

Im sure we could get a rough estimate from those numbers just by guessing I would say close to 280 shaft HP....

  • thanks.

  • Why does everyone have a '65, '66, '67, '68 Mustang? Every video I've seen of a classic there's always someone sayin 'OH I GOT ONE OF THOSE!' It's really annoying. If you got one, great, but we're lookin at this one right now. If you wanna brag about it, video it and show it

  • ive got a 68, just thought youd like to know :)

  • my 66 is the bees knees, thought u'd like to hear that

  • It's probly just because you don't have one, anyone that has one doesn't complain :)

  • good video. cool stang, enjoy it. i've got a 65 coupe.

  • hey im 16 and im buying a 66 stang with a straight 6 200ci and i dont have ALOT of money to spend on this thing. it doesnt have a fuel tank so its not drivable but its supposed to run. i rly want a v8 tho...pry a 302 but idk what to do. id pry spend 2000 on the body/ paint/ interior stuff (dash) etc. but what should i do about the engine? keep the inline 6 or get a 302 for it ?

  • Its more work than just putting a 302 in it. The rear end (7.5" I think) probably wont hold up long above 230 horse power.

The 6cyl uses 4 lug nuts on all the wheels. Due to increased performance from the 8cly the 4 lugs must be upgraded to 5 lugs all the way around. There is lots of other stuff that must be taken care of as well. visit mustangforums(dot)com for more help.

  • i know. my dad know ALOT about cars and he already explained all about the lugs and everything. i would have to change the rear end and the wheels and lots of stuff. i just dont know whether i should do all that or not. i really want a v8 and have alot more power. i just dont know what to do haha ahhh

  • since it doesnt sound like you have a lot of resources you should just stick with the i6.

a better idea might be to wait a bit and just buy a v8, you can still probably get a good starter car for 5,000 with a v8 that will probably cost less than redoing an i6.

  • yeah....alright thanks for your help. thats what i was kinda thinkin i should do...is just wait. but yeah thanks again

  • Wow u have the exact thought as me. I have a 66 wit a 200 6 and i wanna put a 302 in it to.

  • what transmission is the mustang? automatic or manual? really kick ass car!!!

  • Right now its got the c4 3 speed automatic im running a Tru trac gear driven limited slip differential with 3,00 gears.

I almost have all the parts I need to change the C4 transmission to a t5 5 speed manual trans with overdrive that will really help with acceleration and improve fuel mileage at highway speeds.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • whats your 0to60 you think my friends 70GTO went 0to60 in like 6 secs your car is lighter maybe you can get a faster time

  • Im running a c4 3 spd with 3:00 gears 0-60 is about 6 even. Ill let you know what happens when I Swap the c4 for a 5 speed T5

  • whast the engine in it

  • 302 with street performance cam with carter AFB 600 sitting on a edelbrock performer 289 intake.

  • thanks

Your idea sounds like a good one for non-console 66s

  • would you recommend an old mustang for someone looking for there first car?

  • only if you are mechanically inclined, my first car was a 1966 GT-350 but i bought it as a wreck and rebuilt it from the ground up with the help of a friend that restores and sell mustangs, it wasnt easy but i now know the car inside and out. not really a good choice for a first car though

  • Thats a nice looking mustang. I really like how you set up the gauges in the console. It looks clean. I dont have a console in mine so im gonna build a box to go under the dash for 3 guages and a cd player and cover it with matching carpet so it looks nice.
