Frie mages do around 1.4- 2.5k at lvl 40 on stone olems, ANNND There is a rumor going on that fire mages will get fire heal( same thing as heal) Their skills are also faster, Flame wizard will be a mobing tool that will RAPE ice/Lighting mages :)

I believe you need a level 20 character to go talk to Cygnus. Once you talk to her she'll show you your character customize thing. Then you log out then back in.
