I've started to try knitting again after many years. Between what I'd forgotten and what I never knew, you've been my saving grace! The books are all too confusing. Thank you
Hi, love your videos. I have gorgeous patterns but needed to understand how to do certain stitches. One problem I have is my knitting being too tight. What I am doing wrong? Help!!!
This is a common problem for new knitters. You just need to loosen up your tension on your yarn a bit. Your stitches should stay on the needle without too much trouble but you should also be able to easily slide them back and forth on the needle without much resistance. Remember that you have to knit into those stitches on the next row so if you make them too tight it will be difficult to do that. This takes practice though so be patient with yourself!
This contributor is the best I've seen on YouTube. She uses larger yarn and needles, the lighting and contrast are very clear, and she doesn't knit so quickly that you can't see what she's doing. Thanks!!
Thank you! This wasn't in my needlework bible and I dearly want to try a traveling vine washcloth pattern. This was exceedingly helpful, clear, and very well done.
