You could see all the old sci- fi movies on commercial TV as lunch time movies during the school holidays and sometimes Friday nights. They were sort of scary at the time but I think i was more fascinated by the fact that there may be life beyond our planet. As a kid anything was possible!
CaneFu It should be obvious that UFOlogy drew its inspiration for what aliens would look like from science fiction films of the 50's and 60's, where most are depicted as humanoids with bulbous heads, as this was the cheapest way to depict an alien, aside from making it look exactly like us.
Strange how all these old movies depicted flying saucers and aliens as all looking similar and with great detail - almost like their research for the movie revealed some facts that we no longer know about.
