  • great stuff. this is a remake of a radio sketch jack did with fred allen. fred allen was jack benny's vaudeville partner and played the clarinet (miserably) in the "tea for two" number, trading off while jack played violin. i guess for television they figured bob hope dancing and dropping his cane would suffice.

  • anyone knows the song that bob sang at 5:00?

oh~how i wish they were real partners!

  • bob hopes dancing feet are amazing--he was over 60 here--thx this was great episode with jesse white

  • Funny thing guys, we seemed to know when to laugh without the 'f' word introducing the punchline!

  • So easy to see where the "Class" in Classic derives..

This just makes me feel.. Well.. Nice.

    Thank You

And @Rick Marcelli- WOW!! (How cool is THAT comment).

  • Jimmy Durante is played by a me,Rick Marcelli ......at that time a young actor going by the name of Riki Marcelli

  • @RickMarcelli Really?

  • Who plays young Jimmy Durante?

  • @CastingCrowns100 You've got me there! Anybody else?

  • @hwy61media Imdb says Phillip Phillips

  • @CastingCrowns100 Riki Marcelli.

  • I'm not getting any older...younger-Haha! Jesse's reaction is SO funny! He always played such terse, blount parts and to see him laughing at Bob and Jack's quips - Classic! Who wouldn't though?!

  • You're so right, who wouldn't? Benny and Hope were a great pair and seem to genuinely like working together.

  • Jesse White is terrific in this. How can he not nearly lose it when he among the 2 greatest ad-lib comedians of all time...

  • Amazing self control :)
