The show was broadcast live on October 4, 1963 - (6:15pm-7:00pm) from studio 9, Associated-Redifusion studio, Television House in Kingsway, London. The show, Ready, Steady, Go! was relatively new. The Beatles also appear lip-syncing "Twist and Shout", "I'll Get You", and "She Loves You."
Oh My God!!!! Helen on her very best performing on the Ready Steady Go program her "newest" hit together with John, Ringo and George......What a unique sound she had and probably still has...Normally it's the "men & groups" who started with The British Invasion", but in my opinion Helen & other girl groups took also part in the "Invasion"...Luckely for all of us, thanks to the person who posted this, and You Tube as well, we all can enjoy the "old but forgotten-ones"
Wow, my mum had all the Helen Shapiro records, and I loved the songs, but to see the video of this song with the Beatles(where is Paul?) is so cool. She is so polished and what a voice....for that era how cool is she!! You rock Helen
Sad that Helen did not have a better Manager and Publicist because she has such a great voice. If she was given better songs to work with she would have been up there with the top female singers of the 60's.
Brilliant.

What a voice for an 18 years old :O !
Wish that they could have done a better promo for such a talent though :/

She's either got a really deep voice, or the tape is slowed down.

@FecesHurlingMonkey1 She has a contralto voice.

@rgme2 ...you mean she was trained for 'Classical' opera? Deep female voice for pop doesn't seem like it fits.

@FecesHurlingMonkey1 No I was referring just to the vocal range. I didn't word that well.
