I upgraded both my lenovo's, W520 dual 120 Force GT's and the S10-3T and they boot up in 15 seconds!! A typical rotating hard drive read/writes 115mps.... SSD 555/515 mps .... Smokes them!!!
The system should be very much faster, and it is indeed noticeable. However, the S10 or any similarly-spec'd netbook does not have the processing power to handle 1080P. Hard drives give you capacity and speed, not power.
Kc7fys: why do you go around policing the grammar of ultra-specific instructional videos on youtube... from the same day, commenting on this other Lenovo S10 video:

Using the plural personal pronoun is really awkward. It's like you are not in the video, but there is this disembodied 'we,' so it's not clear what you know when you say we know this or that and you (all/plural) are going to do such-and-such." Ridiculous. Go away
SATA II is backward compatible with SATA I. So you can put SATA II on SATA I controller as well. (However, some SATA I controllers doesn't like SATA II HDDs. Don't know if that is true with SSD as well. )

Why are you using the royal WE for yourself?
"We ground ourselves..." I ground myself is normal. What's goin' on, sir? We are wondering as we watch this video.

Gotta admit the guy goes a little overboard. I'm surprised that he didn't tell us what direction to turn the screws.

I read that it requires a SATA 150 drive... is this true? Almost all SSDs are SATA 300 spec (SATA II)
