I'm not going to deny that there is evidence to certain degrees of evolution...if evolution is how we got here, it doesn't change the fact for me that it begins with God for me, every aspect of the Bible doesn't have to be taken literally, I accept Christ and the most important duty for me is demonstrating compassion to others unconditionally, not trying to "debunk" evolution...its beside the point of faith for me
That's still part of a problem... when your beliefs don't have to be founded on evidence you're open to believe a lot of things. Science strives to explain nature, and knowing what reality is is very important to me. But if you allow yourself to base beliefs on personal experience and the like then I think you're missing out. I'm not saying you can't still believe in god, but given the arguments against a personal god, I'm not sure how you can support that particular belief.

As a former Christian i can say i was indoctrinated by my parents, they said that evolution was a lie and that the world was created by god, no alternative was given to me until i first head of evolution and the big bang theory in the fourth grade.

It seems atheism now has to try to come to terms with a problem. First, science belonged to Christianity and always supported it. Then came Darwin, and for the first time ever science became a place for atheism to take refuge.
Atheists hide in science because it seems if they have knowledge they can control it. It really does take more intelligence and strength to submit to the indubitable reality of a transcended and supreme God who is the origin of all.

Someone needs to seriously explain to these two that evolution is real all one has to do is look at the flu virus.
It changes and mutates every year (sometimes even within whatever the current strain may be) to create a whole new virus that the old vacine won't prevent .

When you actually read the bible you will in fact notice that it promotes equality and love for your neighbor. Jesus never degraded women, and it was women who discovered the empty grave first.

The gospel according to Luke relates that the women from Galilee visited the tomb and found it empty. If the claim of Jesus' resurrection was made up by the disciples, they wouldn't have given the credit of finding the empty tomb to women, since BACK THEN the culture degraded women...Christianity promotes and teaches equality.

If we only had the New Testament, we would come to the gospels and not know why the Jews were looking for a Messiah. Without the Old Testament, we would not understand why this Messiah was coming (see Isaiah 53). The cultural context needs to be considered AND the reality that the Bible is the book of the redemption through Christ.

I'm a Christian.....and my personal opinion on evolution is WHO CARES?! I'm not going to deny that there is evidence to certain degrees of evolution...if evolution is how we got here, it doesn't change the fact for me that it begins with God for me, every aspect of the Bible doesn't have to be taken literally, I accept Christ and the most important duty for me is demonstrating compassion to others unconditionally, not trying to "debunk" evolution...its beside the point of faith for me

That's still part of a problem... when your beliefs don't have to be founded on evidence you're open to believe a lot of things. Science strives to explain nature, and knowing what reality is is very important to me. But if you allow yourself to base beliefs on personal experience and the like then I think you're missing out. I'm not saying you can't still believe in god, but given the arguments against a personal god, I'm not sure how you can support that particular belief.

Hitler used all kinds of propaganda to push his agenda. Even if he tried to connect evolution to eugenics it doesn't matter. What does matter is that what are found to be the facts of our world are accepted in order that we may expand upon them and enrich our curious minds.

I'm not trying to discredit it, I meant to say irrelevant - it was a typo. But when people in power use science for their own agenda, aka Eugenics, Climate Change tax, race extermination and so on. Maybe we need to put measures in place whereby science stays within science and politics stays within politics. The whole funding of scientists is dubious. And for the record I'm not a Christian, and I'm not a scientist, just somebody trying to bring some issues to light.

Both science and religion are corrupt tools for our controllers. Just look at the so called "consensus" on climate change. I'm more inclined to believe neither.

Science is based on evidence, testable hypothesis etc. Sure, some scientists might be in error on some subject or even abuse their position, and this may last even for decades,but does that mean not to believe science? Easy tiger. The point was, so called consensus science isn't always as clear cut as some like to think it is. I take everything with a grain of salt these days. Yes I believe in science, just not political based science or agenda based science. The evidence looks like evolution exists. That doesn't make it the end of the story, it also doesn't rule out people using this science to back up sick things like Eugenics.
