no, i actually mean that as you increase difficulty, the monsters the game throws at you become easier -- perhaps it's just a syndrome of increased play-time, but let's compare : level 6 test of valor on 'warrior' pits you against those four-legged monstrosities as well as rocket soldiers, which are the bane of all ninjas. on 'master ninja', you only have to compete with red dragons and standard fiends.
you can't possibly compare NG2 with DMC4. on Master Ninja, this game rapes dante's mother. i've had this thing since release, and it took me the better part of 3 years to beat it. you can bullshit your way through DMC -- ninja gaiden takes true skill.
Just got past this jackass on Warrior, musta taken me half an hour just to beat him once. Comparing it to the first one, Genshin's WAY harder than Murai...at least Murai gave you room to move around, this dude's always in your face.
re: tests of valor -- these are actually easier as you increase difficulty. i had more trouble with them on 'warrior' than i did on 'mentor/master ninja'
If u want master ninja to be easy just keep making essence in chapter 1 for like 600k essence then buy lunar staff lvl 3 and do 360 joystick turn then Y and hold it. And enjoy owning every boss in the game with it!

@carnageb Are you asking about the combo I'm using to deal w/his minions? The best tip would be to be patient. I'd also recommend using the Dragon swords XYY to damage him, but you gotta wait until you have an opening (after he attacks). Hope this helps.

@silverthorn12369 Now, the 360 UT w/the lunar is performed by spinning the left stick in a circle before charging/sucking in the essence for the UT.
The two Izunas i remember w/the staff are done by " X Y X X Y " or by jumping at the enemy and while still in the air press " X X Y " i prefer the later one, much easier to pull off (and helps great when overwhelmed.
omg i beat gen shin this is how you beat him use the staff, then counter every of his fucking move do this repeatedly his AI is the same as any other difficulties only harder every time you want to counter you need to time the attacks epic boss battle it take me quite while to figure out gen shin weakens
@BMTHbraileBMTH Thanks and Thanks for watching. You get that move at Level 2. Its one of the many Izuna Drops the weapon has on it. Jump towards an enemy and hit Y (flys at them) , XX Y (start the combo once contact has been made. Good Luck.
@BMTHbraileBMTH Not to sure bout that. It goes back to the first one (and each 3rd person game after). Kinda builds on each game I've played in the genre. Just over time you start to see the same flows/moves/skills and it becomes easier with each game you play. I know I broke 250 hrs w/this game (last I checked, back when I was almost done w/videos).
@niwm Learning what weapon works best on what enemy is a big help, also learning how to pull of counters and all the stun moves w/o hesitation. Practice is key. No matter how hard it looks or feels, no matter how many times you die. Just keep at it, soon enough you'll get the flow of battle and moves and laugh at how hard you really thought it was. Don't get me wrong, its a hard ass game. But, w/practice... you can figure it out. Good luck.
geez this game it's probably the hardest game ever... i don't know how a few people can manage to finish it at Master Ninja Mode... I am pretty strong at DMC4 and i took almost all the S Rank in all the missions in Dante Must Die Mode but really Ninja Gaiden it's too hard... the warrior path it's pretty difficult but i finished it. I agree with someone that said DMC3 is harder than DMC4...
I have to say i found genshin to be a good boss, at least without his minions, he doesnt have any really cheap moves, he cant be spammed and he knows flying swallow. The only thing that annoyed me was that even though you can whoop him easily if you know what you're doing the cutscenes make it seem as though Ryu only just escapes each time.
Nice work mate...I managed to beat Genshin on Master Ninja by just using the Izuna Drop with the Lunar Staff at level 2. Mind you that was on the PS3 Sigma version, and correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think you can Izuna Drop Genshin on the Xbox version. I was lucky though because one flying swallow hit from him took almost 90% of my health. Just some of the differences between the two versions.

wow thats really awesome gameplay. I found using the lunar staff to be easier on genshin but I had to use all the ninpos on the Incendiary shurikens ninjas before i could even touch genshin.
Now I know again why I was always playing with the Original Japanese Sync. The English one ist just ridiculious. And how I hate the 2nd Chapter... only god can tell. I died million times there. Jeez...

This game was so disappointing :( I kept upping the difficulty hoping it would reach the standard of NGB but it just got less fun rather than more fun.
I found MNM kind of easy too, once you get past the first 2 chapters. I was saving Lives of the Thousand Gods in case I needed them as health and still had 5 left by Dagra Dai. Most of my deaths came from bosses, standard enemies were just pushovers.

Ok. Go into the options and check the weapon info on each weapon. That will give you a detailed lay out of each weapons button combo. Just look for Izuna in the title somewhere. Here's one of the izunas (there are usually more than one for each weapon) for the TDS.

In any boss fight, don't be careless. You have to dodge constantly and attack when neccessary. I won't lie, I got my ass whooped on Ninja Gaiden 2 a lot. The game wants you to get better. I hope you beat Genshin, the Ch.2 boss.
That's saying Devil May Cry 4 on DMD is easier than Ninja Gaiden II on "Path of the Acolyte". You're saying that Ninja Gaiden II on Very Easy is harder than Devil May Cry 4 on the "Hardest" setting. Difficulty of NGII>>>>DMC4. Well said, sir.

Genshin on Mentor wasn't that bad once you got rid of the IS Ninjas... The real challenge for me was the sub-boss fight with Rasetsu and a shitload of those IS cuntmuscles! Haven't played a game this difficult since the good old NES days :)
exactly. If you don't spend it on items and you UT as much as possible (w/o using that essence to UT)...you can build up a nice chunk of essence. No matter what ppl post, no matter how well done. There's always someone who has to hate.
I beat this game on every difficulty level. The most frustrating difficulty is "master ninja." You have to play good and make alots of strategy on beating that level. I already beat master ninja.....

Save some ninpo and use the fire ninpo to kill the underlings (those that trow you incendiaries), kill them all. Afther that, usde Dragon Sword and stay in defense all the time until he starts to attack you, then avoid him while in defense, then, when he end his attack, hit him with your sword some times and then run and be in defense again until you beat him.
DO NOT JUM, NOT USE NINPO WITH HIM AND STAY IN DEFENSE.

@dragonninja1997 You can't really mention Sigma due to that version essentially being a neutered version of the original game. It was nice of Team Ninja to slightly enhance the graphics of the original only at the cost of drastically reducing the number of enemies on screen and lowering the overall difficulty. But it was all done to cater to the casual market and without Itagaki's input it was a complete success.
I own both Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 and 2 is much harder than Black I really didn't have too much of a problem beating Black on the hardest difficulty but Ninja Gaiden 2 I can't even beat Mentor
dumb use the tallons forward xxxxxxx on him after the dashes or finishing a combo that doesnt hit you. i can beat him with barely any health lost every thim
im only on acolyte difficulty because i only just got the game and this boss killed me about 50 times and alexi and the fish train was easeir than this guy.
this guy isn't that hard: just wait till he dashes, then u dash away and do xyy with the dragon sword. if u do that and pay attention to what attacks can hit you it'll be alot easyer:)
...or you can use YYY, after his attack, thats also a easy way to get him down. Genshin is really easy. I hated this Bone-Guy in Stage6 on MasterNinja and the electro worm in stage3.

the 2 things that makes this game hard is the camera and frame rate. this game isn't that hard at all except when you're trying to get to a boss but it takes too long coz of the darn frame rate.^^
Genshin really isn't that much of a challenge. It's getting to the boss, which is the hardest. IMO, the hardest boss is the Rasetsu boss, because of those Incendiary Shuriken ninjas. Seriously though, sometimes they really piss me off, and I really enjoy killing them with a finisher (preferable the scythe). I like playing it because it helps me vent off some anger. An who says videogames kill people. Huz hah!!!!!

always the monsters change from warrior to master ninja to another types and more powerfull

I found MNM kind of easy too, once you get past the first 2 chapters. I was saving Lives of the Thousand Gods in case I needed them as health and still had 5 left by Dagra Dai. Most of my deaths came from bosses, standard enemies were just pushovers.

how do you perform the izuna drop movement? I mean, wich button or combination of buttons are necesary, it seems so helpful but I can't still do it, any help is appreciated

Ok. Go into the options and check the weapon info on each weapon. That will give you a detailed lay out of each weapons button combo. Just look for Izuna in the title somewhere. Here's one of the izunas (there are usually more than one for each weapon) for the TDS.
TDS: Square, Triangle, Square, Square, Triangle.

In any boss fight, don't be careless. You have to dodge constantly and attack when neccessary. I won't lie, I got my ass whooped on Ninja Gaiden 2 a lot. The game wants you to get better. I hope you beat Genshin, the Ch.2 boss.

@chidorisasuke120 A KMS run is a Kick Me Sign run.
You get a kick me sign put on your back in stage 1-2, and it only comes off if you use any roulette moves or godhand power.
Basically you do the whole game without using super moves. Try that on hard and you will be considered a god among people.

Genshin on Mentor wasn't that bad once you got rid of the IS Ninjas... The real challenge for me was the sub-boss fight with Rasetsu and a shitload of those IS cuntmuscles! Haven't played a game this difficult since the good old NES days :)

I beat this game on every difficulty level. The most frustrating difficulty is "master ninja." You have to play good and make alots of strategy on beating that level. I already beat master ninja.....

Yeah Even Dante must die mode doesnt even Live up to Master Ninja mode. buuuuuuuuut having say that Devil May cry 4 One of the BEST if not THE best game of this Genre, it beats Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi all of them but Ninja gaiden 2 offers a HUGE challenge shame doing it on Master ninja still only worth 100G :0

Ok, this is what i did to beat that guy:
Save some ninpo and use the fire ninpo to kill the underlings (those that trow you incendiaries), kill them all. Afther that, usde Dragon Sword and stay in defense all the time until he starts to attack you, then avoid him while in defense, then, when he end his attack, hit him with your sword some times and then run and be in defense again until you beat him.
DO NOT JUM, NOT USE NINPO WITH HIM AND STAY IN DEFENSE.

@dragonninja1997 You can't really mention Sigma due to that version essentially being a neutered version of the original game. It was nice of Team Ninja to slightly enhance the graphics of the original only at the cost of drastically reducing the number of enemies on screen and lowering the overall difficulty. But it was all done to cater to the casual market and without Itagaki's input it was a complete success.

this guy isn't that hard: just wait till he dashes, then u dash away and do xyy with the dragon sword. if u do that and pay attention to what attacks can hit you it'll be alot easyer:)

Genshin really isn't that much of a challenge. It's getting to the boss, which is the hardest. IMO, the hardest boss is the Rasetsu boss, because of those Incendiary Shuriken ninjas. Seriously though, sometimes they really piss me off, and I really enjoy killing them with a finisher (preferable the scythe). I like playing it because it helps me vent off some anger. An who says videogames kill people. Huz hah!!!!!
