  • I just bought a DVD/CD of this concert and I played the CD on the car stereo on my way home and the DVD when I got home. These two people are God's gift to humanity. I am just happy to belong to a generation span that's witness to Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Andre Agassi, Tiger Woods, Manny Pacquiao, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Don Mclean, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Carole King, Ayn Rand, Bill Clinton, Mother Theresa, Larry King and Nelson Mandela.

  • watch?v=zBy9t171DEM

(Carole King & James Taylor would love to hear this woman's sweet voice).

  • carole king, james taylor, all my old audio friends who are still singing....they still sound beautiful to me. and even if they didnt, they are like the face of your mother; i want them near me no matter what, because i love them. they've given me so much over the years.

  • Two living legends sing a great song. I like this very much.

  • Thanks for this post from the DVD/CD of this concert. It was on PBS and they cut out 4 of the best songs. The CD and DVD has extra footage and wonderful songs from what I have read about it on the internet and cannot wait to buy it and the American Masters special. wonderful piece of tape of these amazing songwriters that I have a tremendous amount of respect for. Thanks for the post on Youtube guys.

  • Cannot wait to buy this on DVD and CD-they come together and you can get it at Barnes and Noble. Love all the songs and these two great people. Thanks for the wonderful post. Have seen James 7 times all over the US.

  • Listen Radio Música para Mimos (search in Google) The best songs of love

  • Hey MrRacoon68 you need a hearing aid! What the hell is wrong with you?? They are amazing! Are you a professional musician? If so, you suck! They Kick Assssss! They have probably been around longer than you have been alive! And if not, SHAME ON YOU! If you claim to be a fan, you SUCK AGAIN! You are not a fan, so get lost asshole!

  • Carole King has not been auto tuned. I saw this show. Why not check out everything they've given us and be grateful. Anything less is a cheap shot. Carole King is singing in tune, seasoned masterpieces she penned over four, five decades. How many people walking around today can claim that? And she's in her sixties. She's a masterpiece and so is James Taylor.

  • Leland Sklar is a bass guitarist who has contributed to thousands of albums as a session musician. He has collaborated with many well-known performers and recorded sound tracks to films and television shows. Russ Kunkel worked frequently with bassist Leland Sklar and guitarist Danny Kortchmar. Kortchmar backed King on her groundbreaking 1971 album Tapestry. In 1970, Kortchmar reunited with Taylor on his breakthrough album Sweet Baby James.

  • Wow, two of the greatest singer songwriters ever!

  • Love her....him.....not so much.

  • Wow! I love Carol King! Shes so awesome. James is too. I didnt know they were doing shows. Omg, I wish i could go...

    ~Jeffro :)

  • And would Mr. 2008 dada or whatever you silly name is crawl in too. Incredible performance last nite at the MGM Grand in Vegas. They both are true legendary treasures.

  • I just saw them in vegas last nite, July 17th, amazing show. Will the classless jerk saying they are over dubbed or auto tuned please crawl back into his cave. He should have one tenth the talent of these legendary genius'.

  • there always comes a time when the graceful and tasteful thing to do is hang up the act and call it a day....don't sully people's happy memories with strained reedy voices desperately trying to recapture the "glory days" or yore

  • One of the finest performances i've seen for a LONG time...brought more than a tear to my eyes. I just imagine how those people at the front row felt..mesmerised. Just SO good to have them around still. Danny Kortchmar plays some wonderful guitar solos.

  • I just heard them live, the naysayers can take a walk, James as as smooth as ever and Carol's raspy earthy sound still rocked. Can't screw up live people. Conspiracy theorist abound, relax enjoy the vibe.

  • @Go2theant Ditto. They are amazing live.

  • Autotuned, overdubbed//? WTF. Do yourself a favor and buy an ear. Damn I get tired of jealous haters. If you had listened to them live in the early 80's you would have obviously heard the natural degeneration of the voices that happens over time, but to denigrate the performances of music icons with assanine claims not only makes you laughable but pitiable as well!

  • @MrRacoon68 - lip-synched!!!

  • I don't ever sink to name calling, but "brinleyhall", you are a moron...please refrain from speaking about things you obviously don't know the first thing about...

  • Did anyone here see this on PBS? I don't know what you're talking about "auto-tuned" or whatever...They both sounded great -- Carol's voice was smoother than ever, and the feeling that they put behind those fine lyrics and melodies was awesome. Please -- auto tuned, my a**. They are both in their mid or late sixties. Cut them some slack. It was a WONDERFUL SHOW.

  • I would not be so sure. I saw her live several years ago at the SunFest in Palm Beach and she was by far the highlight of the week. On this night she followed the legendary Ray Charles, no small task. She was on fire and in solidly tune throughout. Frankly I was amazed how much energy she brought to her show.

  • and probably compressed as well, so the dynamic range isn't there

  • Carole kings voice is embarrassingly auto-tuned, not that James' isn't either

  • over-dubbed... not auto-tuned

  • @drumdad52 Whats your story? Can't you just appreciate an awesome concert?? Who are you?? Are you famous like Carole King and James Taylor? If so, I want to hear your bullshit.......ASSSHOLE!
