I was thinking of having my ibanez 7 string set up for open c as well. Does the ziphos have a 25.5" scale length? What gauge strings did you use for this? Was the low G loose or was it okay? I hope you can help
@GabGabAuJous Surprisingly I really never got a solid answer for the scale length, and I tried looking it up now but I got nothing, but I'm taking a guess it is 25.5". I think I used an ernie ball 7 string power slinky set, but I remember from this video they were fairly thick strings to hold the tuning. Specifically for Open C (6 String), I think Devin uses 10-52, and then like most 7 string guitarists, gets an additional 7th string. The 7th string is probably around .70

@GabGabAuJous Actually no, that was the one thing I forgot to mention. The strings were old at the time and I meant to replace them, but before I did I decided to tune to another tuning to record a cover, since I didn't want to set up my guitar for open C specifically (not a bad tuning, just I can't write in it lol). Yesterday has been the first time I've fully replaced all 7 strings with a fresh set since I'm recording a demo this week. I play in standard 7 string tuning btw.
