No company is obligated in replacing your phones or equipment. It's an appeasement. I don't understand why everyone thinks they're devices should always be replaced.... this guy is more of a whiner than anything else.
Nothing can compare to my story. I bought an iPhone 4s, the button was tight so I took it back, the employee without informing us fulling put our $850 on a gift card. Later that week I just didn't like it and wanted my money back, I got to use the phone and everything and I didn't like it. I went in, wanting my money back, but no. The manager comes out and tells me, "take the gift card, or take a new phone, or leave" I felt insulted, I'm selling my phone on ebay and buying an Android.
just face it apple as a company and the policey they have sux donkey balls..... liquid sensors ... l0ol just youtube for it some kid bought like a brand new power mac g4 and it got damaged during shipment to his house and that poor kid hurd on the phone that a liquid sensor got tripped and he had to pay like 2000 dollars to let it repair l0ol...
I got my replacement back from apple to find the lcd was broken, so I made another appointment. He forgot to put the screws back in and damaged the bottom of my phone!!! I am a loyal apple customer.
John, I assume you mean the audio in the background. I added that to take away from the popping sound from where i was holding the earbuds mic. The popping on it's own was more distraction. Otherwise I typically agree, the audio was too loud and doesn't fit for a video of this length.
Attitude is more important than actions...but I'll take a new phone if I can get one. LOL. The problem with having a "culture" is that you have to maintain it.
I noticed your video is 9:40...had to edit it down huh? Been there bro. Glad you like your new "tainted" phone. Hey, good material for the show this week.
I do think the video in the background is a little distracting. Now in regards to the Apple store experience, I think you should of gone to the manager or at least make a follow up call. You shouldn't have been treated that way!
There are always rotten apples (pun intended) in the bunch. I'd report them. Apple would probably appreciate it;)
A good tip for iphone users is to find a local iphone repair guy/gal. There are tons of awesome individuals out there working from their homes with access to every part necessary to repair iphones. We had a screen replaced for $75 in 10 minutes! And from what I understand there's almost nothing, including a drop in the pool or ocean that can't be fixed by a good repair person.
Cut through the red tape, geez!

The Liquid Contact will trip if any liquid drop touches it.

Thanks everyone for leaving your comments. It's not often I share "negative' stuff when providing content.
Will try to remember to discuss the liquid sensor in the next Help i Got A Mac.

I'm rather enjoying the background music. Reminds me of Vince Guaraldi.
The guy was acting inappropriately. I'd right a letter to the store manager.

I would have pitched a fit. A little known trick to the Apple Store, if you complain and hold your ground they'll ultimately take care of you.

Cincinnati humidity will trip one of those pink dot moisture sensors in two or three days if you don't have the phone cased.
