Plus, if you add in the number of reserves the ROK has, then we're talking about almost 4 million men in total. That's more than enough to halt any North Korean assault. Not to mention the majority of North Korea's troops are malnourished and have almost no serious logistics support.

I am not a ROKMC or veteran. I think they will understand it if you call them drill instructors. Most or many of them understand quite a bit of English if you speak slowly. If you write on paper, they will definitely understand you.

@masterDevis It is actually pretty useful. It teaches them to not mind cold climates. So they are able to fight in colder climates. In the past some military's were sent to fight a war in a terrain that was alien to them and they have no experience with. Such as the British in the revolutionary war. They were used to fighting in open fields, not in mountains or woods like the American rebels were. The Americans would fight native American style against the British.
I trained with these Rok Marines in Pohang.They are some real ass kickers, much respect. They base a lot of there values from the US Marines. I own a complete Cami set from one that I traded for onre set of my own set Cover, Blouse, Trousers and Boots. Loved my 2 years spent in South Korea. I just didn't like doing hand to hand with them. they are some serious ass kickers.

He said one time him and his buddies were relaxing on top of a hill and a South Korean soldier pointed a rifle at my dad, and he said he just stared at him, then the South Korean's sargeant kicked the South Korean soldier and he stopped aiming the rifle at my dad. My dad said he laughed when he got kicked.

the battle of long tan is different long tan was fought by ordinary australian soldiers and achieved the greatest victory of the war. the australian sasr scored a 589 to 1 kill ratio on there time in vietnam 2 sasr soldiers were killed in vietnam one in combat and 1 in a helicopter accident. the south koreans had an impressive 25 to 1 kill ratio but nothing compared to the aussie sasr at 589 to 1 kill ratio. dont get me wrong the south koreans were great soldiers in vietnam.

By a legitimate source I mean a peer-reviewed academic article. The reason why the American military can not beat the Taliban is, because of the unconventional warfare they're conducting (guerrilla warfare unmarked soldiers). @masterDevis It is actually pretty useful. It teaches them to not mind cold climates. So they are able to fight in colder climates. In the past some military's were sent to fight a war in a terrain that was alien to them and they have no experience with. Such as the British in the revolutionary war. They were used to fighting in open fields, not in mountains or woods like the American rebels were. The Americans would fight native American style against the British.

I trained with these Rok Marines in Pohang.They are some real ass kickers, much respect. They base a lot of there values from the US Marines. I own a complete Cami set from one that I traded for onre set of my own set Cover, Blouse, Trousers and Boots. Loved my 2 years spent in South Korea. I just didn't like doing hand to hand with them. they are some serious ass kickers.
