  • We got a 1979 Fiat Strada in 1986 and within two years the car was undrivable due to electrical problems. It had a heated back window, to keep your hands warm as you pushed.

  • @fixinggrace Yea, FIAT FIX IT AGAIN TONY , All Fiat's Had Electrical Issues

  • You're right, but Fiat NEVER has mechanical problems like american cars... the electrical issues can be fixed by a good electrician outside Fiat dealership (I have a Fiat Uno that never has trouble with mechanical parts... but I warned the future electrical issues with a good electrician and never had troubles!!!)

  • @fixinggrace Yes? probably you bought a YUGO!

  • @maraujo1984 Nope, it was a Strada with five doors, circular door handles, air conditioning and an automatic transmission.

Yugos in the U.S. had only three doors (tje rear hatch) manual transmission and no air conditioning. These were based on the Strada'a predecessor, the FIAT 128.

  • I didn't think the Brava was still with us in 1981. I wanted a Strada, big time. They came out in 1979, and my dad had bought me a Mazda GLC as a high school graduation present. I always wondered why we never looked at the FIAT.
