  • I have to agree with what FD214 said. Everythings true, except the only thing that sucks about the place is barely anything ever comes by. Maybe one every hour and a half or two. But still, you got Main street, Rita's Weis Markets and all the other stuff around you to make the waiting go by faster.

  • Check out my short and simple car video.

  • I have to agree, Macungie is defently one of the best places to watch the action on the NS Reading Line. Numerous Grade X-ing's in area, E&WB Signals, Track Detectors every 10 miles, Food close by.

  • Great video! I haven't been to Macungie in ages!

  • "Best Place To watch NS Trains In the world...." I have to disagree on that, the best place to watch NS is the Horse Shoe Curve and theRockville bridge.

    Len.

  • Sorry Len but I personnal think this is better the Horse Shoe Curve because you dont have to pay and you are pratical about 20 feet away from the train and they come blasting thru there about 50 to 60 mph laying on there horn and its a straight away where you can see the singals clearly by just looking down the tracks and theres a turkey hill in walking distance were you can get drinks and food.... Horseshoe curve and TheRockville Bridge are nice. (Ron Rail Productions)

  • Well where I go at the Horse Shoe Curve I don't have to pay a dime, lol. beside any one can get a crossing shot. It's even better when you can get a walk in shot and get thoses hard to see areas. There the best place. But I guess for a teenager the crossing shot do ok too.

    Len.
