  • This video looks really beautiful and I can't place my finger on why.

  • funny at 2:29 when paul webb runs back to his mic to sing :P

  • @foreverthewho Notice how far away Lee is...he must have ran. also. who is the guy Mark is talking to in the beginning? it's not Lee or Paul.

  • @Annatizadell i really dont know, i think with one of the camera people but was paul talking with lee? because lee was far away all the time, he only came at the end of the song :S :l..

  • Trousers Right!

I freaking love this video, thanks for sharing.

    I know it ain't healthy

  • ^_^ haha 3:03 - 3:16 ....i cant really understand what they're saying besides the "How are you?" part, but it still seems totaly random and funny

  • I love take 1 even better than take 2 ,its just the goofing around that gets to me .

    Great band ,always and forever

  • Stop staring.

  • Is that Saint Mary's church in the background?

  • @Annatizadell yes.

  • Exaclly one week after I finished my "O" levels. I have such vivid memories of this song and that time it's almost painful.

  • Always accomplished, even more staggering here.

  • its about time mark hollis/talk talk were in the music hall of fame.

  • Love the way this was shot!! By the way Great sunglasses!!!!

  • ritorno bambina.che musica c'era prima!!!!

  • fantastici!

  • Tra.....Traaasers *****

  • Who are the Oi guys?

  • I recognize one of them as the drummer...

  • Lee Harris (drummer) and Paul Webb (bassist), I believe. Love the vid. Not like so-called "musicians" these days with their out-sized egos. MH typically hated making music vid's so any footage is to be appreciated.

  • Great tune. Very unconventional presentation, especially if you compare it to other music videos of the day. A lot of their work still sounds fresh and unique even now.

  • I like this much better than take 2- TonM, I agree with you! Its a bit more raw, and the beginning is interesting. The only thing I don't like is how the power lines interfere with the beauty of the countryside... maybe that's why they did a 2nd take? I don't know! D.

  • Love him, seen him after the band. Kind chap. This clip starts out humourously!

  • I like this one, its way better than 'take 2', its more "raw." Great band, great tune, great song... what more can be said?

    10.00

  • ooooiiiii,ooooiii!!!

  • I never really liked this song but I have been playing the Greatest Hit album at work this week and know I really dig it, just took me 25 yr. Still think "Life's What You Make It" is still the best.

  • Great Vid! Very unconventional, but honest. Great song, great band! God I miss the 80's!

  • lol damn right. i sniffed so many lines it wasnt funny.

  • was that Cristian slaytler !!

  • he's cute,by the way my name is tori i love the group talk talk-tori

  • I played the crap out of my "It's My Life" cassette back in 84. Remember this song very well! Hello Mark Hollis wherever you are!!

  • Great song! They made and released a second video of this (I see it's posted too), shot at the same site, looking virtually the same as this one. Wonder why they did that? Both versions though are terrific.

  • Beautiful, haunting voice...

  • What a great concept for a video! A backing track, live mics,a camera running,and a bit a fun!

  • mark hollis is a adorable: straightforward

    and brilliant!

  • mark hollis...pure genius.

  • Terrific video and what more should inspire to be. Band members acting normal and likeable. What a concept. I love it....

  • There should be a "Natural History" DVD.
