  • why you have shit behind your windows 1:30

  • this is lame on usb 2.0 i am getting 10mb/s on 3.0 im getting 15 mb/s ... could some1 explain ?

  • @FullM3tal7ack3t go in bios and check if there is option for usb speed, there should be options for HiSpeed and FullSpeed. Put that option on HiSpeed save changes and it should be fixed

  • @kocest k ty

  • I'm using Asus N43S, and USB 3.0 is freaking awesome

  • why isnt this a controlled test? this is ridiculous

  • Should of used TeraCopy! I FREAKING love that program! I used it back with Windows XP because it doesn't show the transfer rate on xp. And they just added a new feature where you can have the USB drive ejected automatically once the transfer is complete. I freaking love it! And i'll bet the files would of transferred faster!

  • /watch?v=lceXKjRzzOs&feature=colike

  • Nice video, I just thought that we'd be at usb 4.0 by now. Oh well.

  • put USB 3.0 in the K53 series and it's mine!

  • @bennybroll - I know.. I am using a K53Sv-A2 right now and that's the ONLY thing it's missing :). I get my USB 3.0 fix from my VX6.

  • @asusrog removed my last comment. my question about the keyboard was answered in your newest video haha. ordering!!

  • @asusrog I have asus k53sv and it has usb 3.0 :)) na na na na na :PP

  • lol 3.5" drive vs 2.5" drive, hardly fair there Asus...

  • @MartinGod3992 ...The size has nothing to do with the speed...The only speed difference would be the RPM, if one was 5400RPM while the other was 7200RPM, then it would have been unfair :)

  • @imraanLQ4ever most 2.5's are SSD bays...

  • @alskdjfalskdjfasdfas Wrong most 2.5" are laptop HDD bays all SDD on the other hands are made for 2.5" form factor but most 2.5" storage are 5400 RPM HDDs as SDD is still too expensive to catch on

  • @alskdjfalskdjfasdfas umm...dude, laptops use 2.5" hard drives...

  • @imraanLQ4ever external bays...lol

  • @alskdjfalskdjfasdfas Still you can install a laptop HDD into an External Bay. They are cheaper then SDD

  • @kentokae you could, kinda dumb though

  • @alskdjfalskdjfasdfas How dumb is it to install a recently discarded Laptop HDD into an external enclosure when it is still in working condition because you replaced either the laptop or the HDD with a faster/larger HDD or a SDD?

That is thrifty and smart IMHO instead of buying an entire external storage device for $100-$200 when a $10-40 Enclosure for an existing HDD would suffice.

  • @imraanLQ4ever er yes it will, a 5400rpm drive will be slower than a 7200rpm drive

  • @MartinGod3992 Not to mention it wouldn't matter anyway. USB3 will always be faster, even on a slower drive.

  • @Shift4g yes and no, a 2.5" drive can be slower due to the fact it wont spin as fast, also the 2.5" drive could only have SATA1.5 and the 3.5" drive use SATA3, this would all effect speed of the drive and speed of the transfer

  • @MartinGod3992 Actually, the 2.5" is totally capable of reaching those 3.5" external drive speeds when put into a system.

  • yeah, but not everything is in USB 3.0

  • @the13thkillzone - True, but it makes sense to prepare for the future - in the next year or so most devices are going to make the switch over to USB 3.0.

  • @asusrog Assuming 3.0 will be backwards compatible with 2.0 devices but have limit the transfer rate of a normal 2.0 USB, right?

  • @CPUXmcXDivine Yes, you are correct.
