I think this is great. The singer even looks a bit Syd-like. One picture of him I'm thinking of anyway, with a small fro. And the red trousers...This is choice! Great great cover especially considering there's no keyboards! And I dig the Mosrite Spot on
You can't judge sound quality from a video. Even today, most live music video recordings of what sound amazing in person sound like total crap through the camera's wimpy built-in microphone.
A good song, each part played well :) Especially Dean there on bass -- he rocked FNM on guitar (better than Hudson in my opinion!) and rocked LS on bass like nobody's business. \m/ - Gnagstalicious
Got the riff and feel of the song right. Wish they had had a good PA system rather than singing through what sounds like a '59 Fender Bassman with a blown speaker. The lead solo could have used some more "bottom" rather than playing the Strat with the pick-up switch set in position 5 for just the bridge pick-up (at least that's what it sounds like in the video). The close-up of the dude in the red t-shirt was... unnecessary (for lack of a better term).
Thanks for the comment--this was 18 years ago, and we were a bunch of kids with no money, playing a bunch of songs at a party. Whatever we were running the vocals through was worse that a '59 Bassman, blown speaker or no--a PA would've been great!
And I could do without the close-up of "the dude in the red t-shirt" as well--sadly, that was me... I like to think I'm less retarded these days.
@ronnieshow That's a relief Ron...;] And you'll probably know by now, that this song ain't about the devil either.Doesn't antimatter....compared to some of my stupidities,it wasn't that bad.
crazy shit. one dude was on some acid. Good job tho, i liked it a lot. really lived up to PFs version. how about the one dudes hair to the side, hahaha brian wilson-ish lol

This is honestly the best cover I've ever heard of this song. The tones are just spot on.

@SydBarrett997 Good spot, bass is cool and the guitar 1:27 has that choppy neurotic Syd feel.
Not half bad ,for a living room performance.

I give them an "A" for effort.

very nice cover, i really dig the rolliking bass line, the vocals are not as convincing as the real barrett but still really good
