@Araccilukino You can get an dvx100a for like 700 bucks used on ebay. Just make sure you use paypal tho just to make sure you dont get ripped off without being able to get your money back
YouTube prefers MP4, although you should make sure you render straight from your editing software, and the fewer times you re-encode the video the better ;)
Yes, this is a great method to use! But if you render in .mp4 as 720p with a two passes, and the variable bit rate as 240,000, you can actually trick Youtube thinking you have an HD movie! Check out my profile, and I have a couple of Vids up shot with an AG DVX100B in HD.
I learned this method from Mark Alposon! :D Happy Filming!
If i were you I would go with the Hv30 from Canon. The footage is amazing and it supports 24p and HD. here a link to amazon, though i would look around before buying it on amazon becasue you will probably find it cheaper else where. Check out some videos on youtube and you will see what i mean. It really is the best camera you can get for the money. Hope this helps
Even though HD is becoming more popular I believe this camera will also remain popular. I bought this one in march and I havent had any regrets and I dont plan on switching to an HD model anytime soon. If high definition is a must for you then get an HD camera, but for me I think the footage this camera produces is amazing and the 24p look sold it for me. I plan on keeping this on for awhile. Hope this helps in your dicision.
I have got a DVX100b too and it's amazing! I use it for my job. I tried a lot of cameras and I think this panasonic is the best in its category. I really suggest everyone to buy it if there are intentions to work in filmaking or TV!
You just need to make sure that when you buy this camera it is NTSC and not PAL. (that is if your in America) This camera was worth every penny dont let anyone tell you otherwise. so if you do want to buy this camera you need a (dvx100b NTSC format)
Thanks, Yeah I agree. Theres so many things that can be done to enhance it, but for stock footage i'm impressed. I'm working on some other things that will include color correction as well as other ways to enhance these images.
yeah you can do amazing things with the power of color correction, the 1/3 ccd really picks up a nice dof on that camera which i like a lot. i really want one of these cams
my bad im confusing two different videos... Thanks, This video was just the camera there was no color correction and no lens adapters this is just the stock footage from the camcorder.
Can someone tell me the best way to export and upload 24PA footage into youtube? I lost a significant amount of quality when uploading to youtube. Any suggestions?

the best way to make it look better in YouTube is not using any codecs or compression like mpge2 or mpeg4.
Upload the straight AVI or MOV file. YouTube will apply its own compression to the video, but now you can view in HQ.
The only problem with that is file size... 5 mins SD footage equals about 1 gig.
(upload limit is 1 gb for youtube)
DVDs are encoded in Mpeg2 and with compression the low quality the video the more present it becomes in the final product.
Happy Uploading!

I've always wanted this camera, but with High def getting so popular, should I still invest it one?
