Yes brand new retail releases are expensive in australia, but its the buyers fault for not caring and buying it anyway. Anybody can make a paypal account and buy something from ebay, its really not that hard. Our steam prices are fair for the currency exchange unless that company makes it expensive (eg bethesda/activision)

i disagree with TB, Silent Hill Homecoming is fuckin awesome.

youll have to learn the combat system and the game is naturally

challenging which alot of people, these days, dont seem to be

interested in. its got some tricky puzzles and of course a

standard silent hill twist ending. this isnt even close to being what

shattered memories is (although the phone mechanic in that game

was terrific and there were also challenging puzzles)

If we keep paying that much, they'll keep charging it. There are plenty of other places that offer instant delivery on steam keys for RRP or lower that are available.

As for console games, "But I want it now, daddy!" is why we are stuck with our prices...

Just wanted to point out that Mass Effect 1's DLC does not actually come with the game! I bought it on Steam and had to contact (4 times IIRC) unhelpful EA's costumer support in order to get a valid key to be able to install the Bring Down the Sky DLC (the one worth getting). It was sometime ago but this problem hasn't been solved and now it is more difficult to find a download link for this DLC (no longer available on the official site). Oh and the other DLC is only available on Origin.

just a heads up to anyone wanting to get brink, IT IT POORLY OPTIMIZED!

i run BF3 at max with no problem, but brink will get more frame rate dips than any other game i've played, and my friend (who can run crysis 2 in medium setting) cant even pull more than 20 frames on brink.

the games ok, but i think people should get that heads up on its optimization.

I don't know how useful this "The Salebox" series actually is, you only briefly introduce it and occasionally compare it to other games. I much prefer the "WTF is.." series because we see the game, see you play it and hear your opinion as you play it. I realise it would be unfair to expect you to buy and play every game on sale however that means I can't really wish for an improvement... but I still love you TB! :)

These Saleboxes are like a compressed WTF that's super useful because all the games can be bought for cheap right now. I've learned a lot about what TB thinks of very many different games. I had no clue he's played so many different games with everything else he does! I'd love to see this format more, but I can understand if you can't move out content like this on a regular basis.
