Been lucky enough to have gone 2 a couple of the hall of fame inductions in the last few years. Always humbling to see your boyhood heroes and meet them . Very sad re Ralph Coates. RIP
I met & got pics & autographs with all the legends in this vid, Wilson Palacios got motm & was brought up to the suite for 10minutes, ossie ardiles & keith burkinshaw also showed up & were happy to pose for pics with me, however the best of the lot for me was crashing into harry Redknapp on the way out & he also duely obliged with a pic & autograph (this bit was a total fluke, we were very lucky as he just appeared out of a doorway as we were leaving), it was a great finish to a great day,
The food was fine if not spectaculor, I think it was minestrone soup with breadrolls to start, the main course had duck with boiled potatos & veg, then dessert & tea or coffee, also ... we all came back to the suite at half time & they had snacky food laid out at all the tables including these small chicken curry pies which were fantastic, (think I had 4 of them) I needed plenty of food to soak up all the free drink ha ha,
£450 per person in the Bill Nicolson suite, that included your match ticket in the upper west stand, meeting the Spurs legends, tour of the ground, 5 course dinner, and a free bar for 2 hours before and 2 hours after the game, sounds expensive but at the end of the day its not something you would do every day, so if your a Spurs fan I would say go for it if you can, I had a day I will never forget with some great video's, photos and loads of autographs.
I have a load of vid's from the day but I am in most of them so I don't really want to post them on you tube, by the way I should have mentioned that the price I gave you is probably not the same for all the games, we paid that because the game was against arsenal but I would imagine it would be cheaper for games against the likes of wigan or fulham ect ect. ps. - you are right, if you do go for it enjoy the free bar, we certainly got a lot of our money back on that one (ha ha).
