haha, i photograph these as they go over the entrance to the tyne tunnels. i do it from a helicopter, tell them that i do not care for their rules and that they cannot ever stop me :D

That sounds like misrabella, she's well known... i'd have wrote to metro tbh. she needs sacking! and you can film all you like in a public area as long as you arent comitting an offence and not even the police have powers to stop you... security sensetive areas like gov't buildings and airports are an exception.

The driver had the visor down all the way which means he/she wasn't visable on the video and you wasn't doing anything wrong. So whats their problem.

@tgm9991 Nexus say its because of "Passenger Safety" but I say thats reduculous as theres nothing wrong with standing at the top of a platform, away from the edge, using a tripod safely to video/photogroaph trains

Passenger safety my arse, all pasengers know which places are safe to stand it's common sense just because you've got a camera in your hand doesn't mean your going to disregard that common sense and jump into the four foot right infront of a oncoming train or somthing else stupid just to take pics.

@tgm9991 Exactly, well said, and the only time I use flash is if I turn my camera settings disc a bit too far and do it by accident but I apologise to the driver afterwards (everyone does it sometimes lol)

It is at platform ends away from entrances/exits/waiting areas/any other facilities thus away from the public. You have not seen me film trains so you dont know what your talking about until you have seen me film.

And before you put up another pointless comment saying that I will get in the way, I dont, because I stand after the front set of doors where the public dont walk or the back of the platform where the public dont go. I do not trespass and when Im in a public place I do not get in the way.

@HSTgreat Your wrong there! The women drivers are actually quite nice. And so are the men. I have lots of driver friends of both genders but there are are a few like her. One is so bad he was fired but the union got him back on. When he sees me he harrases me for spotting.

@DelticFilms Even know I had the "do what you want" from the ticket inspectors after this I found every CCTV camera was pointing at me...wherever I went around the system. I will make sure that all drivers know that I have permission and that I am sllowed anyway as I work for them. This will be put on the trainspotter protests group
