@bestwaffleg once again hiding behind youtube to post comments cuz u dont even no me so stick to making your little runscape videos or wutever those are aight pimp
Yeah these videos could be easily fixed by simply moving the position of the camera. Without being able to see the end result, it's hard for any of us to really see what the pitch does.
drumline is an idiot, how do we know if the ball broke or not? I pitched little league through the miners an if nobody showed you the end result, well.... then talk is cheap
@ckballer92 If you actually knew anything about pitching injuries, you would know that curveballs are an overuse injury. It takes hundreds of curveballs to throw one in a game. Curveballs are more dangerous than screwballs because of the load being focused on the UCL, not shared by the Pronator Teres muscle. Screwballs are safe because they allow the load to be mostly assumed by the Pronator Teres muscle, not the UCL. Pronation is the key to movement and success.
@LSUTigers2321 well to me... he said it's like a reverse curveball but i think a circle change is kinda like a reverse slider... it depends on how you look at it.
ok i am a pitcher my best pitch is the fast ball and my order is normaly 2 fast balls and then what i call the devils pinch which is useing your two middle fingers to hold the balla nd yopur two outer fingers faceing down to hold it in place and you dont use your thumb what so ever and what happens is a slow fast ball
Dnt throw curves or any breakin pitchez that u have to snap ur wrist bc thatyll fuck u up and its true bc my friend got tommy john surgery when he was 16. So just wait till ur almost done growing. Its not worth it to mess up urbarm now
I'm 13 and everybody keeps saying dont throw anything other than fast balls and maybe a changeup. I dont know if this is BS or not but I know how to throw these. I throw aout 150 pitches per day and about 50 are slider, changeup and I tryed a gyro. Is this really that bad for your arm?
Try it out in a bullpen session sometime and see how you do with it. Oh btw im 14 and i throw it. My arms are golden btw. All this stuff about coaches saying you'll ruin your arm is BS. I used to throw it a lot without discomfort. I throw a Fastball Knuckleball Screwball Forkball and a curve. And i throw 100-200 pitches a day with minimal pain.
@ryanpanthers13 no you shouldn't start throwing curveballs, screwballs, or sliders until you're 16. I'm 21 and pitch in college. I throw a knuckle curve that doesn't stress my arm, so I can throw it as much as I want, and it moves very well, as well as a palm ball for a changeup. A good changeup is just as good as a good curveball, and can get a tailing movement like a 2 seam fastball. Nobody throws screwballs anymore because you can get the same or better movement from other pitches.
@ryanpanthers13 No. i started throwing my curve ball when i was 13 and its pretty nasty. but now i wish i didnt. now i can barely go 3-4 inning with out my elbow killing me. so i wouldnt try throwing a screw ball at 13
I was always taught to throw a screwball spinning it a WAY different way, but then-again, I've only tried it in practice, & 80% of the screwballs I've thrown, ended up NAILING 1 of my friends in the fucking head....so there ya go...my Curveballs were always pretty good since I like was like 14, but before that...I didn't really get a good idea of the correct application of them...but I'm not a teenager, hell, I'm not even in my early 20s anymore...
ok why does everybody demand he show the pitch from the batters eye? the point of these videos is to TELL YOU HOW TO THROW the damn ball, not show you what kind of movement he gets from throwing it one time without warm ups. jesus, throw it on your own and see the movement with your own eye
I throw it the same way except i hold the ball 180 degress aground. and it breaks amazing. when you throw it aim it way off to the side of your target
when I throw this pitch, along with the sinker, i never get much movement although the spin is good. What ever I do nethier the sinker or screw move for me. It's hard because I'll throw it hard and the sinker won't really move or tail much and the screw moves a littlebit. It may have to do with my arm angle, but i can get the perfect spin for the pitch. complete inward sidespin but it's still in the sixties. I'm 14 and I want to learn how to throw a sinker because I never liked change or curve
@Nixta12 you can it's just instead of twisting your arm while in your throwing motion preset it in you mitt and throw it while your arm is turned instead of twisting your elbow at the last minute.
good vid but u need to get a batter's view of the pitch..... i watch ur vids and ide like to c the actual break on the ball instead of seeing u and then the ball rite before it hits the target
Only thing is don't put pressure on your index finger any pitch your throwing is if you eat it to go to the outside of the plate then put the pressere on your outside finger vice versatile for inside and if you want it to go higher then put more pressure on the top of your fingers and realease earlier vice versa for going lower
@abcdefg5023 yeah? and im 9 and can jump higher than kobe i bet you throw 48 or lower kid get your facts straight im 13 and throw 71 no way you can throw 68
im 14 and can throw like 70 and im pretty sure being able to bench a lot has nothing to do with it i can bench like 165 and i have friends who bench like 100 and throw harder than me.
i throw a screwball different it dose the same movment and in 12 and i can trow 60 no one is 14 and can trow fucking 90 it dose not matter i can bench 140 it has no efffect
i do not have the best fastball no movement 70 mph 14 years old but im a good pitcher because of my no spin pitches forkball 60 and knuckler 55 yes i have been clocked
The faster you throw the ball the easier it is for the batter to really nail it with less effort. I think it's better to vary the speeds as much as possible and just worry about consistency in your actual pitches. There are plenty of pitchers that strike batters out a lot using medium to slow speed pitches, especially when they constantly change their type of pitch and the speed.
i used to throw a pitch similar to this, set up slightly like a split seem fast ball, but with my finger tips almost like claws into the seems, when i release kinda push out with the claw, people would ask what it was and i never know, they said it was an opposite curve, it works very well, and speed means nothing, its location, pitching is a mind game, you conrtol the entire outcome of the game, so work smarter not harder
Chrristoph makes a good point. Greg Maddux barely threw above 90 but he was able to locate his pitches and have good movement on them and he is most likely going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. So speed isn't everything kids
im 16 and i throw 94 mph but when i tryed out for my high schools team they said i couldent play with them becaues they already have there team so any high schools intrested i wanna play
@mj2ky18 Same thing happened to me-- I got "Blackballed" 'cause certain kids had to make it. Kept me sitting on my ass and an inning of rf starting in Bronco 'cause I RULED during a few practice games at lightening ball pitching.
I got my payback and gradually burned down 7 buildings in town and destroyed the ball field 3 different times.
Security cameras have ruined it for payback artists like me now :-(
@xxxMrSuspendedxxx if u were telling the truth why would you ever post something like that on youtube, i doubt if any1 would see this but its still just retarded. and secondly burning buildings down is not payback at all, its just bad kharma and makes you look like a fucking douchebag. you'll get whats coming to you
i wanna try out for my senior high school time in september but my pitch speed is something to be worked on 40-50-mph at best but i can throw a variety of pitches (including a good knuckle)which is what i hope will put me above the rest
im 12 in little league nd evry body fears me with my sinker nd curve nd espicially my fastball its in da mid 60s they got an radar gun nd to see how fast i pitched
hard to tell if that was a screwball or just an inside pitch to a righty, not a great angle. I learned to throw a screwball by throwing out my shoulder, so i got used to throwing side arm, then i tried to go back to throwing over the top and even when throwing a four seamer, the ball would tail in because I kept getting inside the ball with my shoulder. which sucked at the time cuz im an outfielder. wish i had the ability to be a college pitcher
I'm so glad they chose a camera angle where you could really see the movement on that pitch!

yea right.......you are probably just saying that to look cool........you suck monkey balls and you know it!!!!!

@ellveetrapz You mean to tell me you wouldn't have swung at that? Especially if you have two strikes, it's just to close to take. :)

i used to throw a pitch similar to this, set up slightly like a split seem fast ball, but with my finger tips almost like claws into the seems, when i release kinda push out with the claw, people would ask what it was and i never know, they said it was an opposite curve, it works very well, and speed means nothing, its location, pitching is a mind game, you conrtol the entire outcome of the game, so work smarter not harder

Chrristoph makes a good point. Greg Maddux barely threw above 90 but he was able to locate his pitches and have good movement on them and he is most likely going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. So speed isn't everything kids

mj2ky18 1 year ago
@mj2ky18 Same thing happened to me-- I got "Blackballed" 'cause certain kids had to make it. Kept me sitting on my ass and an inning of rf starting in Bronco 'cause I RULED during a few practice games at lightening ball pitching.
I got my payback and gradually burned down 7 buildings in town and destroyed the ball field 3 different times.
Security cameras have ruined it for payback artists like me now :-(
xxxMrSuspendedxxx 1 year ago
@xxxMrSuspendedxxx if u were telling the truth why would you ever post something like that on youtube, i doubt if any1 would see this but its still just retarded. and secondly burning buildings down is not payback at all, its just bad kharma and makes you look like a fucking douchebag. you'll get whats coming to you

This guy's a screwball
MrFarenheitdontlie 1 year ago
hard to tell if that was a screwball or just an inside pitch to a righty, not a great angle.
