  • Great video. Thanks for explaining. I'll try doing that.

  • @jedimasterham2 @Typhlosionprime1 @BattyBitz Ok, can we all agree that this guy was just being random?!

  • jesus christ whats he talking about god for? GO AWAY DUDE

  • Do you know a way to smooth out paint? Im asking because when i was painting my HG Overflag and painting some peices silver and tried smoothing out the paint with a damp que tip but it ended up looking streaky. Do you know a better method?

  • what are the difference between enamel n acrylic paint??can i panel lining with acrylic??are both paint must combine with thinner before painting??

  • @SAJEESUKEE i think he has a video explaining the differences between the 3 paint types

i know they each thin with different liquids and acrylic is thinner i believe

and panel lining is easier with fine tip markers

  • @SAJEESUKEE Well Enael is useng petroleam and it kinda of a shiny paint Im not sure about acrylic

  • 7 people messed up their gundams

  • Great video, my only feedback is to not move around the objects as much because the camera tries to focus on the background then back on the objects and it continues back and forth when you move around lots causing more of your video to be slightly out of focus than it needs to be. Otherwise thank you and this helped a lot.

  • @asdfghjkl34101 Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.

  • @marionetemanJ The Bible isn't factual and isn't backed up or proven by anything. Stories that start with "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...." have just as much credibility to be real as anything in the Bible.

  • @marionetemanJ what evidence? the only "evidence" u got is a few bearded hippies words

  • @marionetemanJ

As a mediator between you and @asdfghjk34101, I have to say that historical evidence is lacking. Simply saying it is so is called "subjective truth," in which whatever you believe to be true/real it is only true to you and in your mind. This differs from "objective truth," which entails universal truth/realityregardless of subjective truth. This doesn't necessarily mean that God doesn't exist, it's just that mere beliefs don't validate universal truth / reality.

  • @marionetemanJ Did it sound like vegeta8259 was preaching christianity? The answer is a BIG NO. Don't comment on videos that have nothing to do with christianity

  • @marionetemanJ Shut the fuck up. I hate bible-pushing ass-holes such as yourself. This video has nothing to do with whether or not your fairy tale religion is correct.

  • can you weather without putting a top coat?

  • Fantastic tutorial! I'll be using this as a reference

  • ive seen someone using salt on that rust section somewhere... can you show how...

  • So I noticed you are using black acrylic paint, and silver enamel? Does that give you issues at all? I was told you can't mix the two..

And just out of curiosity, is the blue base coat enamel or acrylic?

  • exellent tutorial! now i know how to weather my white glint model :)

  • EXCELLENT tutorial. Will be using this soon

  • myabe the gn sword green part is like zaku's heat heck

  • @TheOtterbird Heat hawk you mean, and the heat hawks I'm pretty sure were just heated up metal.

  • This may annoy you but on the sword how did you get those lines on there where it looks like it's been cut or cutting things I tried and turned out pretty bad

  • The sword is like the Zakus heat hawk so the green would be left alone.

  • the green part probably made up of a material inside the GN Condensers to store/ draw gn particles to the mobile suit and its weapons

  • it still looks like toy

  • Man, I usually don't use the comments here, even because my engrish sucks.

But talking about Gunpla, YOU ROCK!

You and Prime 92, but I'm not in the mood to comment there, so if you meet him, say I told you so. hahaha

  • @JulioGarou prime92 is a her

  • @regirock57

    WHAT?!?

    Mindfuck that! hahaha

  • oh how did add the little chips on the bottom

  • this is just amazing

  • do u do this 4 all or most of ur kits?

  • You don't have to make an excuse for the dremel tool. That's part of what makes the dremel so awesome. It's good for EVERYTHING =-D

  • the green is the blade

  • im going to get another perfect grade astray red frame because my other one fell apart. should i battle damage the sword or give it to my other one

  • Drybrushing, yeah!

  • The Blade is actually made of GN particles that are so dense, they heat up, and make cutting a lot easier for the GN word III. It's apparently so hot, it starts to melt metal even if it's a few feet away!

  • im not a fan of weathering but, damn u make it look good

  • do u do this all after coating it?

  • Great video, vegeta. Thanks very much...... :)

  • How much damage do you think I should use for my MG exia repair. I think I should make it extensive.

  • Thanks for Sharing Now i Want to Weather my Mg ZZ Gundam and Turn Him into Its crossbone gundam version.

  • Does anyone know if he scratched the pieces up already, painted them, then added decals, then a protective clear coat, then weathered, then the final protective coat? or is he doing another method?

  • u already paint the GN-sword III?

  • I think its GN particles

  • hey vegeta8259,can i replace the silver for a white colour to do the weathering???

  • the green part of the GN sword 3 is GN paricles which never leave the sword under the green bit would be metal if the 00 raiser was real so it would be best u did not weather them

  • why is the camera is always bluring???

  • Could you cover bear saber scratches

  • Hey For your Gn sword ll's u made the clear part blue tinted.. what type of paint is that?

  • Amazing! :P this is just what i needed.. it was simple.. and easy! Thanks for the upload!

  • Maybe the green part is the material of a standard gn blade infused with gn particals

  • Do you have ventilation for that paint smell?

  • not needed... not for this small amount of paint....

  • Nice tutorial. I fully agree about thinking where battle damage is going to be. Battle damage is a beautiful thing, but it can be so over done to make an ugly monstrosity.

  • This is a nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing!

  • how much do those sanders usually cost (dont know kuz i have never went out to buy one lolo)

  • the green stuff is gn condenser material

  • @gladion00 ok.... but what are the GN Condensors made of?

  • @vegeta8259 Idk Concentrated GN Particles?

  • @vegeta8259 its basicly what creates the GN particals. so, when it's active, its got a little GN coating on it, like the GN feild, so yes, its impervious to battle damage

  • @vegeta8259 The Condenser parts are Condenser Material, a kind of diamondoid. However, it's stronger than the suit the E-Carbon used for the suit, so... I figure it whould have less wear.

  • @vegeta8259 gundarium, parts for containing GN particles.

  • @vegeta8259 A few engines?

  • wow.. that looks amazing. I can't wait to see the final product of the fully weathered 00 raiser

  • You really know your stuff!

  • awesome tutorial ^_^

  • Looks amazing bro good job!

  • I don't want to sound like a critic, but might I suggest putting the decals on after you paint? I noticed that when applying the Tamiya Black paint, you can see the edges of the decal show up almost instantly. Thats imho.

  • @MrJakr4 You wouldn't want to put decals on after weathering because it would look weird to have perfectly fresh print on top of a damaged part. You can avoid the highlighting the dry brushing did by spraying a sealer gloss clear coat over the decal (yes it will be shiny, but gloss is better at sealing decals than matte), however, some decals may "react" badly to the clear coat. In miniature painting, we seal a painted figure with a couple layers of gloss sealer then spray it with matte after.

  • @MrJakr4, yeah, that is true here... but on things like the shields, I had to apply the decals first because there was battle damage on top of them

  • the green blade is made of the same material as the GN Condensors

  • @dantekicksdemonass, ok.... but what are the GN Condensors made of?

  • @dantekicksdemonass: i think its made of a special interstellar material which they developed several years ago..., we can call it...PLASTIC

  • how should i know, i didnt create them...ask bandai

  • it would be great if you demonstrated how gundam real touch markers are used!!! :)

  • Great tutorial!

    Maybe I'll try this sometime...

  • looks very sick i did the same thing to my cheridum

  • glass infuzed with gn particles 3:00

  • Awesome job. Looks great, thanks for the tutorial.

  • I would use a very fine 3/0 brush for silver chips on an MG but I guess this works on a PG. This is a very quick and still effective way to weather this guy! I'd enjoy tutorial videos like this one more often!

  • I'll definately use this for my upcoming Armored Core and Gundam models.

Personally for panel lines I just go to an art shop and buy some Micron pens. They're a little expensive (bout $15-30 a pack), but they're long lasting; a good buy all together.

  • This is your bob ross video. LOL

  • Simply amazing.

  • this is a really helpful video thank you for making it!

  • It's obviously GN FIBERGLASS!! XD

  • Awesome! I'll try it one day for sure!

  • thanks man just one more question do you ushaly what fir the black to dry befor adding sliver or dus it not evin matter

  • @otakunick89, that black acrylic paint is pretty much dry as soon as it goes on considering how little I used. the silver however, being enamel, will take a couple of hours...

  • @vegeta8259 thanks

  • thank you so much!!! i have always wondered how the pros did the weathering, just didnt know it was that simple. i have the sander tool and all the paint a kit customizer could ever need! once again thank you vegita!!!

  • Nice tutorial, being of many approaches to weathering. I slightly agree with ingenhk because I can't see the finished results to well but if it looks fantastic and your happy then there is no need to change your ways. Also I added this video to my modeling play list...

  • Remember, this is your world. If you want some happy little battle damage, then put some. We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents.

  • did the white pieces you battle damaged use the same process?

  • the green blade in the gn sword is made of the same material as the gn condensers.. its not a beam effect or anything

  • You still can't touch it with weathering, as it's a clear part. Also, I think, as Vegeta said, it's impervious.

  • @GoneDeathMode ok.... but what are the GN Condensors made of?

  • I think they mean that the part the beams come out of, are like miniature GN drives, or something similar, that emit beam energy. I just look at it like its the hilt of a light saber, but not exactly.

  • @vegeta8259 It's made of M.G.S (Magic Green Stuff). ;)

  • @vegeta8259 Gn particles

  • @vegeta8259 I believe the the green part of the sword is a blade infused with GN particles, kinda like the original GN Sword, except, they infused more.... anyway just to clear that up

  • @vegeta8259 uberly condensed light..gn drives absorb light particles and uses it for energy..so the sword is similar to a super concentrated laser..a light so dense it looks like a solid material

  • @vegeta8259 Active metal.

Currently in the prototype phase, give it 50 years haha.

Think of it as.. hmn... energy metal. Electricity is used to change the properties of metal. We can currently do it on a small scale (ie: electricity passes through a metal object, and it changes shapes), but not on a Gundam level.

  • @vegeta8259 condenced GN particles

  • @vegeta8259 condenced GN particles in a frozen state.

  • @vegeta8259.....when it comes to gundam toys, it will be made of stuff like beams. But in real life... i don't know...

  • @vegeta8259 its provably some plasma like metal or heated crystal

  • @vegeta8259 the GN condensors are made of the GN particles that have been compacted or "condensed" into and solid GN super sword if you will that like in the first season of gundam 00 lock on explanes that a non particle based sword or metal sword has the ability to cut through particle sheilds but on the GN sword three the come up with the idea to use condense the GN particles into a giant mass kinda like blast compacting to make a strong and almost indestructable sword

  • @vegeta8259 a type of metal called E Carbon.

  • @vegeta8259 also since E Carbon on the GN Sword 3 isn't like Armor but more like a solidified liquid type of thing, it doesn't receive that much damage.

  • this was helpful :D

  • I think the Blade is made out of "Gn Coated whatever" So yeah I dont know >_>

  • hm. instead of dry brushing black and silver, you need to paint about 4 shades of colors for the scratches, individually with a fine brush tip, avoid using dry brush or at least make it look less like brush strokes of black+silver color, the tapping of silver paint produced a lot of round edges which should be avoid too, do so it should take about 4 hours to weather the area of parts in this tutorial.

  • i dont see a problem with his way! it looks great to me, and i think this is a brilliant idea

  • no problem, I can't do a tutorial myself I could only try to write it here how other people actually do weathering. Just may be vegeta8259 could improve it and show you the difference in the future~

  • @ingenhk, that's a rediculously long amount of time to weather one part..... the way I see it, it's not so important to make the weathering 100% accurate, as it is to convey the "illusion" of weathering which can be done much more quickly and simply.

  • that roater tool was great, I might try it in the future, I sometimes use paints but most of the time I use the gundam weathering makers to add my weathering effects. The main reason being that if you make a mistake with them its very easy to fix.

  • why am i first always a tutorial videos lol nvm thx for thetutorial video for weathering someday i would y=like to see a tutorial for the cut marks dam i hate them
