@TarranWebster Wait up a minute! The Boss pedal is just a stomp-box emulator of the amplifier. If you have 2 grand to but a re-issue more power to ya. Roland/Boss has put out some of the greatest pedals of all time....is it the original? Nope. But they put out some great products and this is one. For years I has a '72 Fender Super Twin Reverb - eventually sold it because the thing weighed a ton! Guess what? I get greater sounds from amp emulation and don't need to lug that beast around!

Fender had no problem putting their name on a digital Boss mockup pedal because they sold out a long time ago just like Boss did. God, that thing sounds thin. Save your money. If you want tube sound, buy a tube amp and throw a good, hand-wired low-gain dirt-pedal in front of it to give it a little breakup (or you could even just throw a MXR Distortion + or Boss DS-1 in front of it - Those are both good-sounding all-around distortion pedals that won't break the bank. Avoid the digital stuff.

Sure he plays great, but remember the pencil heads and bean counters back at the office love this kind of presentation because, it sells pedals thats the bottom lline so if your all smart dont sell your old gear which may work in favour of something new. that said i do think this is a nice pedal but there are many ways to get this tone not just with a pedal but if thats what you can afford it aint a bad idea overall
