  • .Did you know that at the time Maurice was already retired and the Sherman brothers, Who on a side note wrote alot of the classic disney songs with Walt Disney himself, knew that MArucie would be perfect for it..So one of the sherman brothers..I cant remember if it was Robert or his other brother whoes name escapes me..Sang it in his best french accent and sent it to Maurice...Maurice fell in love with the song and came out of retirment jsut to sing that theme

  • Makes me wanna learn French...

  • Does she say 'Flou-Flou' ????? I'm French

  • He's accent is very ... Frenchy xD

  • We acknowledge the French accent! Especially with the last sentence !

  • this was and IS my fav disney movie ever!! :D

  • This being France of course, the Aristocats were soon taken away and guillotined for being of noble blood. Vive la france.

  • Oh Naturellement! the Aristocats! *___* miaou! :)

  • Man you could still see the animatic behind the art of the animation... beautiful.. makes it look so natural.

  • Animation at its best

  • The old woman gets so scared about the cats going missing now

But wait 30 years when the nazis invade then she will have more reasons to be scared

  • I love maurice chevalier

  • I love this movie to death, but I do believe that the original story that Walt Disney had bought was better than the revisions that Tytle had made in the final cut of the film. McGowan and Rowe made a wonderful story come to life with the help of Disney animators.

  • This was the second Disney movie I ever saw, and I love it just as much now as I did then.

  • I miss watching this at my grandparent's house when I was young...I even miss the house! D:

  • LIKE!!! this are cute, nice...

  • I can listen to this over and over again. A lovely song indeed!

  • @abbamoney

The French is even better :D

    youtube.com / watch?v=wWnnJ-OGc4I

  • the song is 100x better in French. the text is much more flowing and natural.

  • It's a french singer ?! It's the same voice.

  • @clemleloup Indeed, and Maurice Chevalier sang the song for the French dub too. :)

  • my horse would freak out if a kitten sat on her head :)

  • PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS! EVEN FOR COPYRIGHT REASONS.

  • What I can here this is like a "mix" of english and french, he is singing the both :) A little ironic, in the swedish verson everything in this song is in french :) Nothing in swedish haha so when I was little I didnät at all understood what he was singing about :)

  • @missbs1 The singer was Maurice Chevalier (French), who also sang the French version.

  • baha i hum this before i go to sleep

  • @superdude241 hahahaha I'm gonna do that from now on!

  • Ciette, why aren't you a cat person?

  • What if they made a new cat movie and it took place in New Orleans?

  • This is my 3rd favorite Disney film. I grew up watching this at 4 years old.

  • God damn....I love this movie....especially this song. <3

  • 1. Walt Disney Pictures logo

    2. Opening credits

OK, so the opening was a pink color with a credit.

  • I have loved this song for ever, makes me feel safe for some reason

    Maurice is amazing!

  • the singer gets a french accent doesn't he ?

  • He is already is a Frenchman and his name is Maurice Chevalier

  • Maurice Chavalier! Really!? <3

  • Comment removed

  • No, it's only your imagination x') I'm joking ;)

Maurice Chevalier has not a "French" accent... But a "Parisian" accent ^^

  • Love this song. ^^

  • I love the french version of this song as well lol :)

  • This was his last big song--so glad. And about Time Disney did a film starring cats, with them being cute, lovable and heroic. I justsaw that film Bolt, and was disappointed that it seemed to go backwards in cat/dog relations. PU

  • This was out before most videos were out...

You fail at life if you think this is even remotely new.

  • umm--were you talking to ME? I only praised the film for being Disney's first film about NICE cats --and I KNOW it was made in 1971 or so. But Disney made so many films with c ats looking bad--Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, etc.

  • You made it seem like you didn't know, when you say "... About time ..." you make it seem like it's:

    1. Brand new

    2. Been forever

  • You know I kinda agree on ya but later on they made Oliver & Company

  • Sargent Tibs from 101 Dalmations is pretty awesome and came some years before this, although he's kind of out numbered by the dogs...

  • I'm 32 years old and this is one of my favorite songs. Yikes.

  • @spencexxx If you were too much younger, you just might not have known of the song in the first place :P

  • This movie is much better then Gay Purr-ee.

  • I've always wanted to go to France

  • It's fun hearing Maurice Chevalier in this movie compared to the early 1900's.

He hasn't changed that much =D

  • cutest movie ever!!

  • amazin song, amazin film.

  • vive Maurice!!

  • also, the guy that does omallys voice is the same guy that does baloo the bears in jumgle book!

    My Name Is Jack

I Am A Butler (Just Like Edgar From Disney's Aristocats)

  • Jag visste det! Det lät inte alls bekant när jag hörde det, sen kom jag på, den var väll inte på engelska när jag var liten? :P

  • I think Berlioz is the youngest of the three kittens, because of his voice portrayed actor.

  • No Marie is. It say's (that is if you have seen in)

  • ...in what? I never read or heard of any books with proof that Marie is the youngest.

  • The last word thats says "in" I meant to put it. Sorry

  • Hold on, I think I get the point. Marie is the youngest because Madame called her "the little one".

  • They also based her on MArie antionette, the french queen. Its funny cuz they are in france...

French intro version is much) better ! Particulary because Maurice Chevalier is singin' it ( he sings in the end but I can recall that in the french version ( er...actually the only one version I've ever seen of this movie XD ) the intro is entirely in french <3 ! )
