Best dogs ever and they are not all mean and not difficult to train. People who say that do not know dogs. I have met mean goldens so it's not a breed thing. Just like with people stereotypes are not always true. This dog is so cute! I just want to squeeze him/her!!

@chowbaby5 Chows are historically bred for their guarding/aggressive temperament. That doesn't mean every one is like that, but it is a tendency to watch out for when selecting a dog. They do get a bad rap, though, just like Rotties and APBTs.

@bestfoxriderbmx I only said that as i watched the youtube video of dogs 101 of chow chows there not good with kids cause they are very guarded. we have a chow chow and he's really a good guard dog. once he sniffs people long enough then he's okay. we try to get him close with other dogs and people as well. I thought chow chows are like labradors but you can't get closer right away to a chow chow.

@bestfoxriderbmx I had 3 chow chows that ran the range, the oldest had a mean streak, the middle dog was mid tempered, and the youngest was playful. They were great dogs! None I'd call sweet though, even the playful one she used to smack me with her paw to wake me up when I would sleep on the couch :) But ultimately I totally agree, its about how they are trained and raised. Chows can be aloof, but if you are stern and raise them right they are the BEST dogs in the world (in my opinion)

My chow is a blue chow named Marly bear, Alot of people say these are defensive agressive dog's butim here to tell you that i have had 4-5 chows and 1 rot wiler and never has one been aggressive. Now some people do just get angry dogs and ive seen it but usually its how many human and animal beings you introduce them to at a young age. i reckon most dogs are about as bad as ther owner ment them to be nowadays.
