  • absolutely breathtaking arrangement of two great songs by two of the greatest blues guitarists that ever lived.a stunning performance by cleo patricx. full of that intended spiritualism that each of the original writers had intended with these masterpieces.this is one great band! with great drums & bass cleo patricx is able to trancend into that space where only angels r permitted to fly and return to this earthly realm with the enlightened message of a fragile hope that only music can deliver

  • Hey Cleo,

I saw Randy 6 times back in the 80's, at the Belly Up in San Diego (3 times) and small clubs in Orange County even with Buddy and Mitch at different times. One bar with about 10 tables and maybe 50 people. It was awesome. The first band was Wild Child (Jim Morrison tribute) and Randy came on at midnight and did a hour and half set and blew the doors off the club. What songs do you guys play when you do a gig? I have been telling people at work about your videos. The sound is pure.

  • Sounds good.

  • Doin' the damn thing Cleo!...killer job on Machine Gun, a tune most don't do justice too.

The vibe, feel, and groove are truly in the spirit of Jimi!

  • This blues strat above is my first strat ever; it's a 1965 original with a '62 rosewood slab neck given to me in California by a girlfriend of Velvet Turner, Jimi's old roommate. in '86, Buddy Miles blessed the guitar and made me an honorary secret Gypsy. After the prayer, Buddy told me if I was truly 'bad,' I would play it upside down lefthanded the way he did. That was the day I became ambidextrous. I restrung the guitar lefty. Buddy had more magic than the world will ever know.

  • Hey Cleo,

Man where are you guys from? Do you get out to the left coast? I bet Randy Hansen who luv to jam with ya. Your videos are great with kick ass sound and Jimi ripping guitar. Luv it and keep it up, not many people do Band of Gypsy tunes and it is great to hear a band do it with style and the sound you guys have. Keep it alive!!

  • I met Randy Hansen in the early 80's in Chicago, twice. The second time, he was touring with Mitch on drums.

I'm happy to see that there is a research in Hendrixian guitarists on YouTube. Surely Randy is in the top 10. I am striving for more Blues power and originality: Skip James, Robert Johnson, Wes Montgomery, Albert & Freddy King, and Alan Holdsworth for good measure. Hendrix will always be the foundation.

    Welcome comment.

  • You are a bad motherf--er!

  • my hat off to you!!!!!!!! whats your setup?

  • Secret 1, 2, 3 and 13: I love to share the cosmic dream. 1st, customized Clyde McCoy vox wa-wa with the rubber feet removed, thank you. Early '69 custom univibe with the pre-amp section boosted. With the double-stripe foot-pedal engaged, the chorus or vibe effect increases in sustain and volume.

  • Also added: Red '68 Germanium transistored fuzz-face. New setup 100-watt '68 plexi Marshall. For added kick-ass sustain when going into the transcendental cosmic free-form liquid to pull off arpeggios lifted from 'Hear my train' and 'Machine Gun', I kick in the 1969 scripted MXR distortion plus. Where the originality comes in is the blend of the above plus ancestors' spirits guide through the peace. This is what makes the whole thing sound spooky.

  • it is an amzing sound. wish i could get that tone

  • shit chea!!!

  • Damn good guitar work!

  • awesome!!!
