There's a reason why God prescribe stoning as the punishment, and in my opinion, is to prevent people from even thinking about raping somebody. Besides, if a sinister rapist rapes your one of family members, would you rather have him dead or lived happily in prison?

@rothpwnsYes, God did pass judgement on THE RAPIST, and that judgement also required him to be stoned to death, and whatever words came from Prophet Muhd 's mouth was that of God, and among the purposes of finite punishment, is to purify sinners from their sins and also to maintain the harmony within the muslim community through discipline. In fact, do you know that if the criminal repents before he is discovered guitly, he also has the right to be spared from the punishment?

@rothpwns firstly you need to understand that the purpose of such penalty in Islam is to teach the public a lesson so that they won't even think about raping someone. lethal injection is like dying in your sleep. here's the thing, how is it fair a man for who had ravange the dignity of one of your family members, to die peacefully? would it seem justifiable if the rapist brutally kill the victim, cause thats usually how the raped victim will end up being in the hand of the rapist?
