I still remember the day the BK manager took me aside and shook my hand said "it's time. you can forget the junior whoppers, the king has decreed that you can buy a full grown whopper." I walked out of BK with my head held high and tears streaming down my face, clutching my whopper to my chest. This was my birthright. I became a man that day. I feel sorry for cultures without important rites of passage into manhood like that, and it's made me who I am today: the manager of my own BK fiefdom.
