Boston protester will beat the shit out of the cops if these protest become violent. There is an easier way if you want to stay peaceful. You put superglue on your finger and carry no id when arrested refuse to game your name. They legal have to hold you indefinitely until your identity is confirmed. In NY it cost $200 a day to house an inmate including medical, transportation, guards, housing, food, etc.. In roughly 3 months you can bankrupt any city with just 20K arrests.

So when are the protesters gonna fight back? If this movement is to make any real change in the areas it aims to change, there will eventually be violence and street fights. It is inevitable. If the police continue with the beatings and refuse to defect to the side of the protesters, the non-violence will only last so long.

OWS is a first step. but you DONT peacefully reason with thieves and corruption enslaving millions. you fight it. the declaration that says you can "replace a corrupt government" supercedes state/federal law.

@Cropduster777 just imagine if the colonists abided by "peaceful" protests against the king of england, instead of fighting, with violence, for their rights. did the king's "laws" apply? no, colonists demanded rights, representation and so on. we've come full circle. instead we now have about 500-1000 "kings" and their noble friends who STOLE the wealth. forget about federal and state law. riot or nothing will change. and beat the hell out of any police that abuses your rights.

@gboy1441 I don't like the idea of human on human violence at all, but history has shown again and again that it is on the side of those who choose active resistance against oppressors. OWS is indeed a frist step. The longer it lasts though, the more this will escalate. It's just the nature of govenrment and other such power structure have hammer, see nails.
