Just so it's clear, she doesnt kill the people because of her periods, thats just a coincidence and is more an analogy between the lyrics that talk about literal end of the world and her own mental end of the world.

The lyrics are about the end of the world in form of some nuclear holocaust. The video does has only few direct references to the lyrics (see the television, cycling on the seaside), but more to the idea of the (fictious) story of men-murdering Eleanoora Rosenholm from 1950s Finland.
