Yes, punk WAS a great thing, but even if the music isn't alive like we wish it was in the late 1970s/early 1980s, there are plenty of people out there sporting the punk style. I can't tell you the number of kids in NYC wearing patches for the OLD bands like DK, Minor Threat, TSOL, Crass, Seven Seconds, DRI, etc. Contemporary music may not be what we old school people want, but the spirit for the old is still there!!!
